August 28 – Isaiah 44:6 “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.”

Today and tomorrow we will be looking at an LDS hymn called “Praise to the Man”. Notice how the words in this particular song are full of blasphemy.
If I could share with my mother how this is trouble I would take it apart line by line. I’d show her from scripture the only one in heaven with God before the creation was Jesus. I’d show her from scripture there is only One God. Then I would show her that if anyone opened a “dispensation” it was Emmanuel when He came here for us…
I would ask her if she sees me as a traitor or a tyrant. She says she loves me, so how could she see me as a tyrant?

“Praise to the man who communed with Jehovah! Jesus anointed that Prophet and Seer.
Blessed to open the last dispensation, Kings shall extol him and nations revere.
Hail to the Prophet, ascended to heaven! Traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain.
Mingling with Gods, he can plan for his brethren; Death cannot conquer the hero again.”
Hymns of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1985, no. 27.
“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” (Galatians 1:10)
“Then Peter said and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey Go rather than men.” (Acts 5:29)
“For thy loved the praise of men rather than the praise of God.” (John 12:43)
When Mormons allow their leaders to dictate their own thoughts and opinions on various matters and then present these thoughts and opinions as being God’s will, there is a huge problem. Mormons need to start reading their Bibles to find out exactly what God’s will really is. When they give praise to a man than was a known thief, adulterer, liar, wizard and believer in magic, they are in serious darkness
Mormons treat their General Authorities like Rock Stars. Elder Holland came to our Stake a few years ago to give a talk. He mentioned how when he was walking across the parking lot, a young mother with baby in a stroller, saw him and gasped and was saying things like: “Oh my God, it is you” or I can’t believe that I am standing next to you.” According to Holland, she almost ran the baby up over the curb due to her euphoria caused by being in his presence.
