October 27 – 11th Prophet’s Missing Teachings. 1 Corinthians 15:44-47 “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”

Mormon canon is replete with specific names for God and Jesus. Ask the Mormon if their god had a father, what is his name? If we were all living in heaven with God before creation, where are the Mormon scriptures with details of our heavenly grandfather’s identity?

Harold B. Lee, Prophet & Seer, p. 542 “Who are you? You are all the sons and daughters of God. Your spirits were created and lived as organized intelligences before the world was. You have been blessed to have a physical body because of your obedience to certain commandments in that premortal state.”
The entire belief system of Mormonism is based on the imaginings of a less than honorable man. In young women’s groups, the girls were asked what kind of man they hope to marry. Joe Smith’s name was mentioned numerous times. The church has managed to portray all of their leaders as wonderful men, ordained by God to serve each and every member .. Fortunately, many members are learning the truth about Mormonism and no longer believe the church’s teachings.
I have often wondered about how many active church members actually believe, in their heart, that the Mormon church is God’s True Church. I honestly believe, that a good number of active members are active because they want to keep and maintain peace in their families. I believe many, if not most, missionaries go on missions because of family and church pressure. Most missionaries, if you really sit them down and talk to them, one on one, will tell you the truth about how they REALLY feel about being on a mission.
I used to get a kick out of listening to “Returned Missionaries” give their testimonies at ward sacrament meetings. I could listen to a dozen returned missionaries give their testimonies and each testimony is a duplicate of the one given before. They give their testimonies, not as though speaking from their heart, but rather as following a certain criteria that the church has labeled as acceptable. Its like these kids can’t think on their own.
I used to hate listening to testimonies of an kind on Fast and Testimony Sunday. Mom’s would drag their 5 year old kids up to the microphone and the kids would stutter and stammer and then finally say in a barely audible voice; “I know this church is true, I know Joseph Smith was a prophet and I know the BOM is true and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ..Amen.” Total waste of time. I remember one time during Fast and Testimony Sunday, the time was up and the Bishop got up to the microphone to thank everybody for their participation. Just as he is getting ready to grab the mic, here comes some guy wondering up to the microphone, wanting to give his testimony. The only thing the guy said was the Big 3: “I know this church is true; I know Joseph Smith was God’s true prophet and I know the BOM is true. The sacrament meeting went into overtime so this guy could reiterate the Big 3.
Mormons are like programmed robots. They don’t think for themselves, all their thinking and knowledge is based on tradition. I have heard very few talks given that weren’t a repeat of some earlier talk. General Conference speakers are boring, regurgitating quotes, facts, scriptures and points of view that we have all heard countless times before
I know Soldiermp… I thought that was the strangest thing, everybody having the same exact testimony. I’ve never heard any Christian have the same testimony, it’s about what Jesus did for the individual.
