8th President of the Church – George Albert Smith — Served from 1945–1951

The LDS reference below is yet another example of how the Church has taken bits and pieces of God’s Holy Word, and twisted it to serve their own agenda.

Question: Why would they use the Bible if they don’t believe what God has said?

Mr. Smith also taught we’re blessed as a people only if we obey the all the commandments, and no member is in good standing if they don’t obey the laws of the land – See Conference Reports, October 1908, and 1924.

Ironically, his grandfather, also George A. Smith, had the distinction of being known as the catalyst for the Mountain Meadows Massacre.
