LDS Canon Contradiction: Jesus Fulfilled All Things

3 Nephi 12:46 “Therefore those things which were of old time, which were under the law, in me are all fulfilled.”

Doctrine and Covenants 132:4  “For behold, I reveal unto you a new and an everlasting covenant; and if ye abide not that covenant, then are ye damned; for no one can reject this covenant and be permitted to enter into my glory.”

Now what?

If you’re LDS which of the two ‘inspired’ LDS scriptures should you believe?

Christians know the laws and ordinances are now gone away because of our Lord’s death on the cross.

Colossians 2:14 “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross”.

Oh how our hearts grieve over the confusion Joseph Smith caused! If all things were fulfilled like it says in 3rd Nephi, why is marriage a mandate for salvation?

Moreover, at the time Smith wrote this so-called prophecy, it was referring to polygamous marriages. Not only is the polygamy for salvation mandate incorrect, it’s obsolete since Mormons have renounced polygamy since 1904.

Tragically, however, they’re still mandating marriage for salvation today. We saw this in their announcements of the new temple recommend questions.

One thing is certain, Mormons need to decide which rule they’re going to follow. Is it the BoM, what Joe Smith said in D&C, or what their prophet said by issuing the latest revision to temple recommends?

Pray for those who are at this crossroad in life, and be sure to show them what God says!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
