We’re starting off with #1 – the fist Mormon prophet, Joseph Smith. You can find our complete list on our site and blog.
From what Mr. Smith had to say about other Christians, it’d be hard to say that he followed Jesus’ admonition so others would know you’re one of His disciples. It wasn’t until just recently the Mormon Church wanted to be included in the mainstream body of Christ. Their tendency has always been to be completely separate from Christians.

Elders Journal, Joseph Smith Jr., editor, vol.1, no.4, p. 60; “. . . All the priests who adhere to the sectarian religions of the day with all their followers, without one exception, receive their portion with the devil and his angels.”
Mormons consider themselves Christians. They have been told by General Authorities and even the Prophet )President) of the church that they are Christians. They don’t know the difference. They would rather listen to tapes of former talks by GA’s, than to read the Bible. The words of the GA’s, to most Mormons, supercede anything written in the Bible
