Symbols of Christ “And we cannot doubt that the greatest of all female spirits was the one then chosen and foreordained to be ‘the mother of the Son of God, after the manner of the flesh’ (1 Nephi 11:18). Nor can we do other than suppose that Eve was by her side, rejoicing in her foreordination to be the first woman, the mother of men, the consort, companion, and friend of mighty Michael…” — Bruce R. McConkie, Woman, Eve and the Fall, p. 59; Joseph Fldg. Smith, Doctrines of Salvation 1:74-75
2 Corinthians 11:13-14 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
Leaders of the LDS Church are well trained in how to misrepresent God’s word. Their system is to malign, twist meanings, and add their own interpretation of alleged prophecies God supposedly gave to one of their leaders.
Today’s LDS reference is a fine example of how they go about doing such things. By the time you’re done reading what they had to say, it’s sometimes difficult to recall what they were talking about to begin with.
The page reference today is courtesy of a former LDS Seminary teacher. I was looking for a reference on Eve’s part in the Fall of Man. Little did I know McConkie had come up with the idea that Eve was rejoicing that Mary was chosen.
While the Mormon might cry foul, and state the reference didn’t come from an official church leader, you can find this same quote all over the net published by professors at BYU. Bruce McConkie did indeed make these outrageous statements about Mary, and Eve. Furthermore, his father-in-law, Joseph Fielding Smith, helped him along the way by supplying his own theories.
Pray for those who heard McConkie teach this erroneous info, and pray for the gentleman who published the reference page!
With Love in Christ;

I get so tired of listening to these (so called ) apostles and prophets of the church. They behave arrogantly, each and every time they add something to the Word of God, whether it be a quote from the BOM or D&C, or, their own uninspired opinion.
What does God have to say about people such as these?: “When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, SO THAT YOUR FAITH MIGHT NOT REST ON HUMAN WISDOM, BUT ON THE POWER OF GOD.” (1 Corinthians 2: 1-4)
Mormons need to wake up, read their Bibles more and listen less to the ignorant words being put forth by those (General Authorities) they consider ordained of God. While I was active in the church, I never once heard a General Authority say anything that really touched my spirit.
AMEN! Old Sarge…that’s what can happen when you’re sitting on 100s of billions of dollars.
What ever McConkie just said makes absolutely no sense.
