The Gift of Concordances

March 7 – The gift of concordances. Matthew 24:23-25 “Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before.”

Very sadly, Mormons have bought into the lie that if Joseph Smith hadn’t told them about God, they’d not know about Him, nor would they know what to expect from Him. Spend some time with a Mormon you know and tell them what a concordance is, and how to use it.

I had never heard of such a thing until after I left Mormonism. Teach them that every word in the Bible is listed, and where they can find it to help them define anything their hearts desire in His word. Simply put, it’s a dictionary. It makes a great gift!

With the advent of the internet, everyone has free access to this! Biblehub.com has links to several concordances, including Strong’s Exhaustive which is used for a KJV.

Lectures on Faith 4:13 “Without the idea of the existence of the attribute justice in the Deity, men could not have confidence sufficient to place themselves under his guidance and direction, for they would be filled with fear and doubt lest the judge of all the earth would not do right” – Joseph Smith
