False ‘Age of Accountability’

April 7 – False ‘age of accountability’. Matt. 3:13-16 “Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbade him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him”.

Where in the Bible does it say you have to be eight years old to be baptized? The Lord was thirty years old when He was baptized, and He never made any mention of when someone had reached the ‘exact age of accountability’. Furthermore, the text says He was baptized to fulfill all righteousness. They’ve added to their own rules again!

“And their children shall be baptized for the remission of their sins when eight years old, and receive the laying on of hands. D&C 68:25-27.”  Point 7.  “The true church must baptize by immersion.  Matt. 3:13-6.”
