April 26 — Knowing Him. 1 Peter 1:18-19 “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot”.

Would you know Jesus Christ if you saw Him, and if so, how? A sign that members of the Church are being tricked is seen in Mr. Uchtdorf’s teaching below. Mormons reject the cross as the place of Jesus’ atonement (D&C 19:18). They believe He died there, but didn’t pay for sins at Calvary.
Many people know Jesus lived, and was a leader for many in biblical days. Knowing Him, and knowing He’s the Savior are two different things!

Can We See the Christ? “Like the shepherds of old, we need to say in our hearts, ‘Let us see this thing which is come to pass.’ We need to desire it in our hearts. Let us see the Holy One of Israel in the manger, in the temple, on the mount, and on the cross. Like the shepherds, let us glorify and praise God for these tidings of great joy!” — Dieter F. Uchtdorf
“Let us see the Holy One of Israel in the Manger, the temple, and on the cross”?
I got news for ya, Dieter. Neither God or Jesus reside in buildings (temples) made by man. Of course, Dieter put the word “Temple” in this statement, to remind members about Tempe attendance.. In fact, God says “that the earth is His footstool and Heaven is where His throne is”. God goers on to ask: “What kind of a house will you build for me. has not my hand already built everything”? (Acts 7: 48,49)
