Finding rest in Jesus comes with understanding we are submitting to His authority. If we take self-proclaimed moments of privilege to indulge in thoughts outside of His will, the weary soul will never find the rest Jesus offers.
Anything outside of His will brings us to the sin of self-consciousness. Christ-consciousness ensures we’ve taken His light yoke upon ourselves, and haven’t encumbered ourselves with believing other worldly theologies.
The LDS reference today shows the danger of not resting in Him.
