General Conference, ‘Turn to the Lord’, October 2017 “A fundamental belief of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that God has a plan for each one of His children. God created this earth so you could come here, experience the trials of life, and prove that you’re worthy of spending eternity with God in heaven.” — W. Christopher Waddell
Galatians 2:21 “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”
Isaiah 64:6 tells us that our works as are filthy rags, so how could we ever believe we could prove our worthiness to a holy, righteous God?
The Bible is the story of God’s interaction with mankind, whom He created. The only way we can come into His presence is through the redeeming blood of His Son whom He gave as a sacrifice to atone for our sinful behavior.
Believing anything outside of that simple picture, takes us outside of God’s will for man. This man’s message is what the general population thinks about God. If you’re a good person, you go to heaven, but it’s very wrong! This type of theology doesn’t exist in the Bible.
Share the truth with a Mormon you know, and as always, let them know you’re praying for them!
With Love in Christ;

No one will ever be worthy, which is why we need a Savior. If you died today, did you do all you can do?
I just read that Jeffrey Holland is in the hospital, I don’t know how sick he is. Is he worthy yet at his age?
You know, this whole topic in regards to worthiness & salvation is so sad. Mr. Holland has said some of the most egregiously damning things over the yrs, and it grieves my heart deeply for the predicament he’s in right now. An article in the SL Trib mentioned a comment he made in a recent video stating the pandemic has caused many like himself to spend alone time which is something he doesn’t do very much of.
His statement cause me to wonder if he doesn’t spend a lot of time alone, how much time does he spend with the Lord? You can read the article at https://www.sltrib.com/religion/2020/06/17/lds-apostle-jeffrey/
While I’m fully aware of the fact he’s a false apostle who’s complicit in leading people away from Jesus, my heart hurts for the Lord, and what He must feel/think watching recent events play themselves out even though He already knew these things long before any of us see them.My heart also feels bad for Holland. How sad he’s chosen to reject everything about Jesus.
We must pray for Holland’s salvation – the Lord is in the business of making miracles happen!

I read that same article. Mr. Holland also said before something to the effect, that heaven wouldn’t be heaven without his wife and family. What about Jesus????
May be use this alone time to read and trust The Bible.
According to the scripture, God sees our faith as righteousness, just like he perceived Abraham’s faith as being righteousness (Romans 4:2-5). In verse 5, the Bible says: “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his Faith is Counted as Righteousness.”
In other words, all the burdens the church puts on members to serve the church, is nothing in the eyes of God. You can be a great home teacher, attend the temple everyday, have 3 or 4 four callings, never miss a sacrament meeting, pay more than 10% tithe and still be lacking in the eyes of God if you do not have faith in the Biblical God and the Biblical Son of God, Jesus the Christ
Michelle isn’t making a coherent point. She starts out by quoting Paul that The Law (of Moses) is insufficient, but all Latter-Day Saints understand that Jesus’ expiation is essential, & that the Law of Moses is insufficient. Isaiah chapter 64 does not condemn righteousness or worthiness. It condemns disobedience.
