July 1 — Servants of Corrupt Leaders. 2 Peter 2:19-22 “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”

Members of the LDS Church find much comfort in being told what they must do, and when. Melissa and I were discussing their predicament the other day, and remembered all too well what it was like not questioning anything we were told.
This type of life is dangerous indeed beloved. It leaves absolutely no room for the Lord to speak, and teach truth into the heart. Case in point is the LDS reference today.
Ask the Mormon you know for their opinion about the false teaching below.

Friend, ‘Friend to Friend’, February 1971 “Baptism is not just a custom in our Church. It is something we do because the Lord commands it. Baptism is as old as the gospel. Adam was baptized, and by immersion… It was Jesus who gave us baptism. He gave it to Adam, and he gave it to all of us who have lived since that time. … It is when we are baptized that our Heavenly Father allows Jesus’ suffering to pay for our sins. In this way we receive forgiveness through baptism.” — Mark E. Petersen
Ok so…I googled ‘Was Adam baptised?’ The only thing that came up was BOM verses from the book of Moses. Absolutely nothing Biblical. How did Jesus give Adam baptism?
It’s a conundrum indeed. I’m SO grateful Jesus rescued me!
Since baptism symbolizes the death and resurrection of Christ, why would Adam be baptized before Jesus died?
Isn’t it sad? As His word says in Eph. 6:12 – we wrestle not with flesh and blood but the powers of the air…
“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices” *2 Corinthians 2:11)
There is an Army of Satanic spirits active in the world today. Their influence is felt everywhere, from Wash DC to the streets of our major cities.
If we look at what is going on today thru spiritual eyes rather than worldly eyes. we can see the forces of darkness at work throughout our country and the world.
How do we deal with this enemy of evil: “Not by might, not by power, but by my spirit spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6)
Great verse – thanks for this! 🙂 As I mentioned to Glenn, this is about the powers and principalities of the air. Spiritual warfare is on full display as it’s never been before.
Couple recent events with the horrendous LDS lies, I just can’t fathom how dark it would be for Mormons today. PTL He saved me!!!
If i was Pres Nelson, I would be worried about the anarchists attacking-the Mormon church. The LDS community has a long and hateful history of racism.
That thought has crossed my mind many times in the past few weeks.
