LDS: We have Scant Info on Heavenly Mother

Isaiah 44:6 “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.”

New Era, ‘Why don’t we know much about our Heavenly Mother?’, March 2017 “We know that we have both a Heavenly Father and a Heavenly Mother. This knowledge appears to have originated with Joseph Smith and has been repeatedly reinforced by inspired teachings of Church leaders over the years.

However, beyond the existence of a Heavenly Mother and the role of our Heavenly Parents in working together for the salvation and exaltation of their children, no further details about Heavenly Mother have been revealed.

For now, we know enough to understand that we are children of Heavenly Parents, who want us to become like Them…It shows us that gender is part of our eternal identity and that men and women cannot be exalted without each other. And those are rare and precious truths in themselves.”

1 Timothy 4:7 “But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness.”

The article we’re looking at today stated they have little info on a heavenly mother other than Joe Smith claimed there was such a thing. Oh beloved, if that isn’t scary, nothing is.

We beg the Mormon people to think about the ramifications of such idolatrous doctrines! The Bible is very clear when it says there is only One God, and He knows of no other beside Him – Isaiah 43:10-11. That passage isn’t the only place He states this – see our list at One God with 60 Bible passages where God reminds His people of the same thing repeatedly.

Surely, if there was a ‘Heavenly Mother’, He would’ve declared it! The sad part of this is their target audience. Their article was written to the most vulnerable of their followers who are 12-18 years old.

Shame on the leaders for continuing their lies! Please, pray for those who’ve read this, and believed what their leaders have said.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
