1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light”.
Mr. Nelson’s false promise was a repeat of other LDS leaders over the years. I discovered a couple of these at the pro-LDS website, AskGramps.org.
Included in his list were talks given by Joseph Fielding Smith in 1970, and Spencer Kimball in 1976. These are the talks I remember as a kid. My generation was the ultra-elite, according to those two men. It’s been 50 yrs. since those talks were given.
Isn’t a generation 40 years? Furthermore, what about those in my generation who were told the same thing?
