Jesus is the only person who was in heaven with God before we all came here to earth. No other person had seen God (John 1:18), and no one had the qualifications to teach about what goes on in heaven – except for Jesus.
Even one of the leading Pharisees, Nicodemus, admitted Jesus was extraordinary when he said he knew that He came from heaven John 3:2. God’s people knew very well that life for mankind began on earth (Gen. 2:7).
Sadly, the Mormon people believe otherwise. The LDS pre-existence doctrine is an absolute basic belief. Without that fundamental doctrine, Mormonism as it is, wouldn’t exist.
While it’s a difficult topic to discuss with an active Mormon, be sure to share the truth with them! Show them how Joe Smith’s false prophecy also changed the true nature of God, and mankind’s place under Him. Besides all that, if this was a true doctrine, why hasn’t the Lord revealed more info about it?
