“A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.” Proverbs 22:1
General Conference, ‘Closing Remarks’, October 2019 “We know the restored gospel of Jesus Christ will bring hope and joy to people who will hear and heed His doctrine. We also know that each home can become a true sanctuary of faith, where peace, love, and the Spirit of the Lord may dwell.
Of course, the crowning jewel of the Restoration is the holy temple. Its sacred ordinances and covenants are pivotal to preparing a people who are ready to welcome the Savior at His Second Coming. Presently we have 166 dedicated temples, and more are coming.” — Russell Nelson [emp. added]
Philippians 3:8 “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ”.
Psalm 73:25 “Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.”
In 2019 we looked at the closing remarks of Mr. Nelson’s talk above which focused on the announcement there was yet another change in the temple worthiness interviews.
Today we’re looking at a comment from his talk that serves as a reminder the theme of Mormonism isn’t Jesus Christ, but the people and their temples. Sadly, however, he wasn’t alone in making this type of comment.
Both prophets, Russell Nelson in 2019 and Howard Hunter in 1994, stated the symbol of their faith is the temple. Making matters worse, in 2005 another beloved prophet (Gordon Hinckley) stated the Mormon people are the symbol of Mormonism.
Now one might think those three statements would be the most deplorable, but it does get worse. Joseph Smith minced no words by stating if you take away the BoM and their revelations, they’d have no religion at all.
How very tragic for my people. As I said in the last article mentioned, if they took away all the Bibles the Lord’s Holy Spirit would still be alive and well inside His believers. His Spirit would remind us of what He said because He’s omnipotent and changes the heart of man, not a book or set of revelations that contradicts Jesus.
Moreover, why would they need temples when Mr. Nelson said ‘each home can become a true sanctuary of faith, where peace, love, and the Spirit of the Lord may dwell’?
Lastly beloved, what do you want your legacy to be? When people think of you after you’re gone do you want them to equate you with being a follower of Jesus, or a building?
Don’t forget to pray for these dear people! The lies they’ve allowed to soak into their spirits has certainly drawn them away from Jesus, not to Him! Their latest logo of the Christus statue is nothing but another ruse to confuse.
With Love in Christ –—

Acts 7:48 says ” Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet”.
Also I couldn’t help but notice that the Christus statue, their Jesus forgot his undergarments.
