Salt Lake Temple Monument Denounces Graven Images

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth”. Exodus 20:4

Today we’re looking at another symbol the Church uses to describe itself. This time around they’ve decided to use God’s word in a brazen attempt at looking ‘Christian’.

Just outside of the Temple is a large piece of granite inscribed with four distinct sections. Each section a declaration of sorts stating the Church’s purpose and what they believe.

On one of these sections lists the Ten Commandments from Exodus 20:3-17.

Here are the questions we have today —

1.Why has the Church gone out of its way declaring their belief in God’s word when they don’t trust it?

2.How could anyone trust what they say when they have a monument in front of a building plastered with the very thing they’re denouncing? For a list of some things on the Salt Lake Temple see Inverted Stain Glass Pentagrams for more info.

3.What about the 9th Commandment stating you shouldn’t lie?

Don’t forget to pray for Jesus to open the minds of these dear people – especially now while the temple is closed for major renovations!

With Love in Christ –—
