November 18 – One Man and One Death for All. Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
_____
So we die and then we’re judged. Nowhere in this passage or in others does it say that people will be presenting the gospel and getting baptized by proxy for us after we die.
In the reference for today even the LDS scriptures agree. Also note this supposedly took place in 74 BC.

Alma 34:35 “For behold, if ye have procrastinated the day of your repentance even until death, behold, ye have become subjected to the spirit of the devil, and he doth seal you his; therefore, the Spirit of the Lord hath withdrawn from you, and hath no place in you, and the devil hath all power over you; and this is the final state of the wicked.”

I have an idea! I know the church offers a couple of sunday school classes from which to choose (at least, they used to); wny not add one called ‘before and after’? It would teach what the BoM says and compare and contrast what the church currently teaches on any topic!
Well Sandra, that would be ideal. It also reminds me of a joke I heard, and I think I shared it here before.
How many GA’s does it take to change a lightbulb?
Two…one to change it, and the other to say nothing’s been changed.
