Impotent God of Joseph Smith

January 5 — Impotent God of Joseph Smith. Hebrews 1:1-2 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds”.

Mormonism was given birth to, and still exists on the fallacious teachings of Joseph Smith. Mormonism is based on the belief God literally sired man’s spirit before time began, yet He wasn’t powerful enough to create the universe. They also don’t believe God’s spirit resides inside believers, hence, their Holy Ghost only has power to influence those willing to obey the Mormon god.

Truth: the Lord God is a Sovereign God which means nothing in the universe is outside of God’s control. He created all things – Col. 1:15-17. He knows all things – Romans 11:33. He’s also omnipresent which means He’s everywhere present at the same time – Rev. 21:6. Moreover, Jesus promised He’d never leave, nor forsake us – Heb. 13:5.

Share these awesome truths with a Mormon you know because Mr. Uchtdorf’s message below is repeated time and again throughout Mormonism.

“Today is not different from ages past. The Lord does not love the people of our day any less than in past times. One of the glorious messages of the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ is that God continues to speak to His children! He is not hidden in the heavens but speaks today as He did in ancient days.” — Dieter Uchtdorf,  Liahona, ‘Why Do We Need Prophets?,’ March 2012
