April 25 — The Definition of Kingdom Building. Acts 2:47 “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

The list of ways God adds to His Kingdom is immeasurable. What’s key to this topic is the definition. The never ending list of must-dos and don’ts in Mormonism is a tool implemented by those in authority as a coercive trick to keep people busy. It doesn’t build the Kingdom of God.
The Kingdom of God grows when the Lord adds to His flock by saving people. When true believers gather, they’ll institute Bible studies, etc. These activities are the result of, not the cause, of growth in God’s Kingdom!
Tomorrow we’re looking at how a counselor in the LDS Primary defines this topic.

“I wish also to commend you, my brothers and sisters, wherever you are throughout the world, for all that you do in your wards and branches, your stakes and districts. As you willingly fulfill callings when you are asked, you are helping to build the kingdom of God on earth.” — Thomas S. Monson, “God Be with You Till We Meet Again”
