May 31 — Mormon Works vs. God With Us. Matthew 1:18, 21, 23 “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise…21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

While researching info for a different article, I came upon the LDS reference we’re looking at today. The discovery seemed eerily similar to a talk Mr. Oaks recently gave at this past conference ‘The Great Plan’. Our response is in the link provided.
All that aside, the backdrop of the biblical passage above seems to have fallen on the deaf ears. Proclaiming Jesus will pick up where you leave off implies you’re still the key component of what’s needed to get into heaven.
With chests stuck proudly out, leaders of Mormonism once again boasted of their great works in 1993, and 2020. This, of course, places their version of Jesus on a shelf with other bygone relics they use for the sake of sounding ‘Christian’.
For a moment today visualize the following scene…
On the left side is your list of accomplishments, showcasing what you’ve done to prove your worthiness.
Over to the right is Jesus spilling His blood on the cross.
Any questions?
That visual is exactly what Jesus showed me while burying my daughter in 1988. I buried the Church at the same time I did Mallory. I’m living proof Matthew 1:23 is true.
If you’re a Christian, please tell a Mormon today the words Emmanuel, and Savior, mean the same thing. Demonstratively show how God is truly here with us today!

General Conference, ‘The Great Plan of Happiness’, October 1993 “He is our Savior, and when we have done all that we can, he will make up the difference, in his own way and in his own time. Of that I testify in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.” — Dallin Oaks
