May 8 — Whose Side are You On? Matthew 12:30 “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.”

Our dear Lord made it quite clear. The line has been drawn, and He is the author of it.
If you’re not following Him, you’re the enemy.
Each time I think of my people in this perspective, my heart becomes heavy once again. I was telling a good friend the other day, my goal in ministry is to be gainfully unemployed, and He’s the sole reason I’m getting closer to that goal! We’re all witnesses to the unprecedented number of Mormons crossing the line Jesus drew.
In a strange way, the 2020 pandemic can work in the favor of bringing even more Mormons out. As they ponder the words in conference talks given by LDS leaders, it’s easy enough to see the only thing they have to offer is reminding members to doubt God’s word.
If you doubt God’s word, whose side are you really on?

General Conference, ‘Shall We Not Go On In So Great A Cause?’ April 2020 “Joseph came to realize that the Bible did not contain all the answers to life’s questions; rather, it taught men and women how they could find answers to their questions by communicating directly with God through prayer.” — M. Russell Ballard

So when Joseph realized the Bible did not contain all the answers to life’s questions, is that when he figured out one wife was not enough? Is that when he realized he could send men on missions overseas and take their wives for himself? Pretty heady stuff making up all the extracurricular activities that the Bible omitted, I suppose.
Rather convenient for him… Saying it’s tragic would be a gross understatement.
