The OT version of John 8:58 is Exodus 3:14 when God let Moses know what He was to be known by. These two scriptures are a great witnessing tool to demonstrably show unbelievers that Jesus is God incarnate.
The next time you meet with a Mormon friend ask them why the Book of Mormon teaches that Jesus is God. This is not a doctrine of Mormonism, and in fact, they denounce any idea that Jesus is God. We saw this verse in our witnessing tip yesterday (September 24) when pointing out that Moroni plagiarized both Mark and Jesus.
Why would an ‘inspired’ work contain something that isn’t relevant to the readers?
