Yoga Symbol Used for LDS Youth Theme

‘Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.’ Colossians 2:8

Today we’re looking at a topic we’ve discussed before — yoga.

The reason we’re discussing this again is because of what I found on the LDS Youth homepage. See LDS Youth Theme 2023 for more info.

In their utter contempt for the Lord and His word the Church decided to use Philippians 4:13 as a segue to introduce the theme for 2023 along with an image of stacking stones used in Yoga.

Their tactics are a brazen exposition of how they pretend to be a spiritually safe place for kids. Shame on them!

As a reminder here’s what it says in Philippians 4:13

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

The obvious question must be asked…

How can you rely on Christ if you’re using a stack of rocks to spiritually realign yourself? Are you relying on Christ or the so-called eternal deity each rock represents?

What about God’s warning in Leviticus 26:1 —

‘Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.’

Be sure to check out the article we wrote on the dangers of stone stacking. It’s a short read on how it works and how God strictly forbids this idolatry. LDS Using Yoga Symbol Lacks Discernment.

Another admonition LDS leaders should take heed of also comes from the Lord. Remember, their target audience consists of kids from the ages of 12-18 –

‘But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.’ Matthew 18:6

Please pray for the most vulnerable in this church. They’ve been led to believe they must follow their prophet and as many LDS kids do, they believe the lies.

With Love in Christ —

Michelle
