Everyone Should Want Marriage

May 29 — Everyone Should Want Marriage. Revelation 19:7 “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.”

While the Mormon people busy themselves with manmade rules regarding marriage, there’s really only one true marriage believers should concern themselves with in life.

Jesus is the ultimate bridegroom who is the ever consummate caretaker of our souls. He watches over things we carelessly toss aside, while challenging the motives of our hearts.

The Bible disagrees with Mr. Kimball’s theory about marriage. God didn’t plan for everyone to be married, nor does He need us to be so. God is sovereign which means He’s not in need of our help.

Besides all that beloved, believing you’ll be exalted is blasphemous theology! That heretical doctrine places man in the seat of God. Ultimately, LDS theology removes Jesus from His rightful place on the throne, and declares there is more than one god which is what the Bible denounces. See One God for more info.

The Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball, p 291 “The Commandment to Marry. Marriage is of God. It is the normal thing to marry. It was arranged by God in the beginning, long before this world’s mountains were ever formed. Remember: “Neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man.” (1 Corinthians 11:11.) … Every person should want to be married. There are some who might not be able to. But every person should want to be married because that is what God in heaven planned for us…Marriage is ordained of God. It is not merely a social custom. Without proper and successful marriage, one will never be exalted…” – Spencer W. Kimball — Also see November 1979 Ensign.
