Walking Away from Lies

May 8 – Walking Away from Lies. Matthew 16:25; “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.”

_____

Whatever you do, make sure you share what this Mormon apostle told LDS members but more importantly what Jesus said!

The number of times the Church has made major changes to its doctrine is untold but we can ascertain by Mr. Stapley’s standard they’re not offering truth so be sure to ask for your Mormon friend’s opinion on this.

Explain with demonstrative examples that you’re always better off when you leave the lies behind.

Also, never underestimate the power of the Holy Spirit and what He can do in someone’s heart…we’re here to plant seeds. The Holy Spirit does the converting – Hebrews 4:12. Having the last word will kill your witness so if there’s any doubt what you should or shouldn’t say next it’s always better to just walk away.

What Constitutes the True Church, Ensign (CR), May 1977, p.21; “We know that all truth does emanate from God and is therefore unchangeable, consistent, and unified. Consequently, not all Christian churches with their dissimilar teachings can provide a fulness of truth. My intent is to assert with testimony and persuasion of scripture the reasons there can be only one Lord, one acceptable faith, one baptism, and one true church. Then if any of you are convinced you are mistaken in your present beliefs, you should have the courage to investigate and the faith to change and follow the true path Christ has outlined that assures one’s eternal happiness.” – Delbert Stapley

I know that it can be unnerving to walk away from all that you’ve ever known. I did that in 1993 and the what ifs kept me in the Church much longer than necessary. Once I left peace overflowed whatever concerns I had – PTL!

With Love in Christ –
