For LDS Being Saved isn’t Good Enough

June 13 — Psalm 42:1 “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”

Take a moment today to remember the scene on the day you were saved. What drew you to Him? Is there anything in life preventing the same experience?

One of the first things the Lord showed to me on the day of my salvation was the verse Psalm 42:1 and yes, the message I heard about Jesus on the cross. He truly fulfilled all things necessary to keep us from falling. Jude 24-25.

A poignant reminder of this was also mentioned by the Scottish missionary, Amy Carmichael who said, “God, hold us to that which drew us first, when the Cross was the attraction, and we wanted nothing else.” ─ Amy Carmichael

Share the news of your day of salvation with a Mormon you know because they obviously don’t believe God’s way of salvation is good enough.

The Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball, 49 “There is a great difference between exaltation and merely being saved. All will be saved from the grave. No question about it, if they are good and righteous people, they will be saved in some glory. Whether they are Catholics or Protestants or Jews or Gentiles, they will be saved from spiritual death. But to be “saved” is not good enough. One needs to be exalted to attain the great blessings.” — Spencer W. Kimball

One last thing! Share with the Mormon what Paul said in Romans 10:9-10

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
