Mormon Jesus is the God of This World

July 21 – 2 Corinthians 4:4 “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

_____

Make no mistake beloved, the wording of this man (Ezra Taft Benson) is deliberate and conniving. He is only one of the dozens in the Church who have referred to Jesus in this manner.

Mormons hold onto a subordinist viewpoint meaning God the Father is greater than Jesus the Son, who is greater than the Holy Ghost. They also believe Jesus will inherit this earth someday thus the reference to this Jesus being the god of this world.

However, the Bible is very clear in all this. The god of this world is none other than Satan himself. Referring to Jesus as the god of this world is a deliberate act of willful disobedience and a clear rejection of Him who was crucified.

The Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson [Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1988], 8 “Nearly two thousand years ago a perfect Man walked the earth-Jesus the Christ. He was the Son of a Heavenly Father and an earthly mother. He is the God of this world…” – Ezra Taft Benson [emp. added]

Please be sure to share this with a Mormon and show from the Bible why using the phrase ‘the god of this world’ is so alarming.

When you can also come alongside them and pray!

With Love in Christ –
