Joseph Smith: God Powerless to Create Man’s Spirit

 January 23 — Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 354 “All the fools and learned and wise men from the beginning of creation, who say that the spirit of man had a beginning, prove that it must have an end; and if that doctrine is true, then the doctrine of annihilation would be true. But if I am right, I might with boldness proclaim from the house-tops that God never had the power to create the spirit of man at all. God himself could not create himself.” [emp. added]

It’s shocking someone who claims to be a Christian would say this. Equally shocking is how the Church lauds his name in their writings for kids. I came across a page on their website called New Testament Stories where they tell their version of the gospel and nary a word is mentioned of Joseph Smith’s blasphemy. Unfortunately, their target audience won’t hear the truth until they’re much older.

One Bible verse is all it takes to expose the lies. The images in their article also reveal the horrendous lies of their beliefs.

One image has their heavenly father surrounded with spirit children – one of which is black. As their story progresses it shows that many people followed Satan. Mormonism teaches that those who followed Satan would be black on earth.

We’re wondering why there was a black spirit child in heaven if they hadn’t sided with Satan at that point.

Pray for Mormons to seek the truth through His word and not the lies of this man and those who promote him! Also ask them what they think of the article mentioned above.
