As an ex-mormon, now Christian Pastor, I just wanted to say, “God bless you in this ministry.”
Thanks so much! We hope to be updating the blog on a more regular basis so check back often and if you’d like to see something posted here don’t hesitate to let us know!
With Love in Christ;

1 Cor. 1:18
the book of mormon is a false book fom a false prophet joe smith sex acddict thief pervert that died for his crimes, that what should happen to r m nelsen the 17 lier in charge of satans church of lies
Wrong
This Pastor can not lead no one to Christ because of five things:
1) He does not hold the High Priesthood of God the Melchizedek Priesthood.
2) Priest-craft is evil in the sight of God or to receive money for preaching.
3) To deny The Book of Mormon is to deny Jesus Christ the true author of it. To deny the Christ you deny God the Father and The Holy Ghost.
4) Jesus Christ’s Church has apostles and prophets your has NONE!
5) Only Jesus Christ can found and name his Church as found in Doctrine in Covenants. “Thus shall my church be called in the last days, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.” (D&C 115:4.)
If a church is founded by a man then it is a Church of man as Jesus put it.
“For if a church be called in Moses’ name then it be Moses’ church; or if it be called in the name of a man then it be the church of a man; but if it be called in my name then it is my church, if it so be that they are built upon my gospel” (3 Nephi 27:8). Therefore This Lifeafterministry is deemed by Jesus Christ a Church of Man since it was not ordain by Diety.
You are allowed to believe what you want but by the Priesthood given to me by the Almighty the Melchizedek Priesthood. Your efforts are just destroy the hope of the elect of God to return to heaven.
I testify these truth in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Oh Brother.
If you leave Zion where will you go Babylon?
god bless al gore for inventing the internet..know we can find all the info the church has kept hidden for many years…i have taken the sack off my head..its interesting god doesnt seam to communicate with the ptofit any more.he should have told him that the city creek center was going to cost a lot more money than they had figured from 2million to 4 million.and gays are born that way..MO NO MO
Too funny – yes, where would we all be without Al Gore…hmm…
I’ve often wondered if people like my mother ever stop to think about things like the cost in the City Creek Center and the supposed prophecies of the guys who run her life…why don’t they invest in heavenly matters like rebuilding Haiti and not expecting anything in return? Maybe they’re too poor or dark or both?
I didn’t see you in Haiti and If you were helping hands was there long before you were.
Brian, thanks for being a voice of reason in this madhouse. This is one of the saddest websites i’ve ever been too. Just imagine, people dedicating their whole life to preaching against others? All of these postings are just crazy! I mean – the saddest part is that they are so mingled with truths about our church, just enough to persuade happenstance visitors to this site that the author actually knows what she is talking about – when she is so dead-wrong on so many points!! They are not describing the church that I love and hold dear. They are like all the rest who make us out to be these “cult-members” that are brain-washed into following some crazy religion. I can’t imagine living my life with such a drive to derail people from their own faith.
And yet, in all this – they unfailingly convince themselves that they are right with the trademark arrogance of today’s “Christians.” Why would anyone want to persuade a “Mormon” away from their own faith? We are a delightsome, righteous and wholesome people. Maybe the author of this website should take some time to devote to other pagan religions – like Buddhism or Islam. Religions that don’t believe in Jesus Christ at all! This blind intolerance and religious bigotry so dominant in the Christian world today makes me PROUD to be a member of the LDS church where we believe in tolerance and understanding. That people have the right to follow the dictates of their own conscience and worship how when or what they may, and we expect the same right from others. Apparently, around here that’s too much to ask. I hope I NEVER accidentally come across this site again while searching for the link to the Ford Motor Company’s Interfaith Website!
Dear LDS and proud,
I hope you don’t think that anything written here is an attack on the Mormon people. I would hope the comments made here are by people who love and care for their Mormon friends and neighbors. That is truly the case for me as my LDS friends and neighbors are kind and compassionate people and I love them dearly.
The questions and issues raised here are about the distinct differences between Biblical Christianity and LDS doctrine, and the effects of those doctrines on our eternal life with God.
Specifically, Biblical Christians rely on the work of Christ in order to have eternal life with God:
“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Rom 4:5
while LDS doctrine states that it is man’s work that merits eternal life:
“We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.”
That difference has eternal ramifications, and for those of us who have love people who are in the LDS church, we feel an urgent desire to have them rely on Christ for their eternal life rather than themselves.
For aren’t we rejecting Christ if we rely on our own ability to repent of our sins instead of accepting the forgiveness of sin offered through Christ’s death on the cross?
“”For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21″
Amen sister! 🙂
The main reason I went into ministry is because I was (and still am) convinced the Mormon people love Jesus in their hearts just as I did when I was a Mormon for 30 years.
This kind of “work” is not anything I would’ve pictured myself doing in life. I wanted to be a stay at home mom and finish the year I had left to get my teaching certificate and degree. I majored in World War History. This is far from the battlefields of the European theatre! Ha!
Every time I look in the eyes of my family I see who I was 19 years ago. I see the desire to be close to Jesus as I kept using His name and I desperately wanted to know the peace that eluded me as a Mormon. My heart grieves deeply for not only my family but all those caught in the snares of the evil one.
the lds church haul the stuff they cant sell from deseret industrys and old food from there food wearhouses to the devaststed areas to get there names in the news..but its the salvation army and the catholic church that feeds the poor and the hungry in utah cause it cost money and the lds is in to makeing it no not giving it..god kept the mormon out of the white house
Please pray that all Mormon influences on my daughter will be thwarted. She is believer and wants to win them to the Lord, but she is trying to do it on her own. She recognizes, to some extent, that they are working hard on her, too, but they have become her friends, and she trusts them.
Dear Eugenia;
Know that we’re holding you and your daughter up in prayer! We’re praying that God puts a hedge of protection around her and blocks all evil influences from clouding her mind into thinking these are from God on High.
Keep us updated on how things are going when you can!
With Love in Christ, Michelle

1 Cor. 1:18
Dear LDSandProud!
“not describing the church that I love and hold dear”… ???
Ya know, I once loved the LDS church and held it dear as well, then the Holy Spirit revealed: Ephesians 2: 8 and 9 to me at the first non-LDS church service I had ever been to in my life. (I wasn’t allowed to attend any of the apostate Christian churches while growing up and was actually scared that I might lose my place in the Celestial Kingdom if I ever attended one or read anything about God not written by an LDS author…. sounds like a Mind-Control Cult to me…)
… and on that note you mentioned, “the trademark arrogance of today’s “Christians.””
You are so far from understanding that this ministry is not about arrogance, hate, or trying to defame the LDS members.
It is first and foremost about LOVE and the abundant Life one can only find in the arms of Jesus (as described in the Bible)
Also, it is about answering the “Arrogance of Joseph Smith” and other leaders of the LDS church when they say that “all Christian denominations are apostate”. That the devil is their god. That Catholics and Protetants are nothing less than the whore of Babylon. That our baptism and Lord’s Supper have no authority and it highly offends God when we practice them.
But what really offends me is the un-apologetic racism and pedophile-ism that permeated, not only the founder of the LDS church, but every member of the church deep into the 20th Century.
What you don’t understand is that this ministry is preaching Christ and Him crucified… Other world religions (you mentioned Hindu and Islam) get the same core message from the posters of this blog… Jesus is the only way!
No religion, organization, prophet, pastor, system of worship, guru, sacrafices, church attendance, tithing, rituals, ordinances, repeated prayers, etc. can EVER make you more right with God. We are His righteousness through the blood of Christ…
Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe.
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
But does not every Church have a history that they can be ashamed of? Catholic, protestants, born again christians, Jews, hasn’t everyone especially today struggled with faith? I pray to God, be he or she, jesus, or jehovah, Mary Magdelene…I believe in the love of God. His works are a mystery to me… I believe God created us all and only he can judge! I was LDS…I have tried to follow the teachings of Jesus…but deep down my faith and belief is in the Love of Almighty God. If Jesus is real I pray for his eternal Love…if he is not…than my faith is for a true God who is our Father and the Father Jesus prayed to every day of his life. God bless you all. More people have fought and died over the belief of Jesus than any other religion!Stan.
Stan – we will be praying that you surrender your heart to Jesus and make Him the Lord of your life. “He who has the Son, has eternal life” 1 John 5:11
True, many have died over the belief of Jesus… that just tells me that Satan is at work 24/7 to destroy all those that would put their trust in Him. Some certain people in the past have used Christianity to further their own sick and twisted agenda. Jesus told us be Salt and Light unto the world. He never told us to go out in miltary fashion and force people to follow His Word. He never wanted Catholics and Protestants in Ireland to fight and kill each other over whose church was better or more true.
The body of believers make up His “church” (ones called out to assemble). There isn’t one denomination or sect that has “the most perfect way” to Heaven. “Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart… and you will be saved”. Church attendance, rituals, ordinances, special prayers, tithing, etc. can never save you. “Love God and love your neighbor as yourself” So simple, a child can do it…
and I am kinda shootin from the hip here but, more people have been killed because of (or under) Godless regimes and dictators than ever have been killed due to Christianity. 20-30 Million killed under Stalin and Hitler. Genocide in Africa to this day. Pol-Pot, Mao Tse Tung, etc…. and even more alarming is that over 53 Million babies have been killed in their mother’s wombs since Roe v. Wade back in 1973…
I’ve added you and your family to my prayer list, too! With God, all things are possible!
The Christan faith is very simple: Law and Gospel
1. The LAW (Ten Comandments) acts as a curb and mirror. It shows our sin; it curbs our behavior. We feel sad and lost.
2. The GOSPEL (Good News) tells us that while we were still sinners,Christ died for us. It tells us we are free and that we will not die for our sins. It tells us that there is nothing we can earn or buy. We have no part in our Salvation.
What does one do? Read the Bible, confess to God that you are a sinner, ask Him to come into your life. You’ll begin a personal relationship with Jesus as you read God’s word. The Holy Spirit brings you to faith, helps you to understand His Word, and guides you through your life ahead.
Jesus said,”I am the Way, the Truth and the . No one comes to the Father except by me”
Our response to this Free Gift? We can rejoice that we are saved from death and hell and we thank Him for showing our need in His Word.
The result:
We do good works for others in faith, tell others of God’s great love for us in Christ Jesus, and that this is Free.
God does not promise that nothing bad will happen in our lives but he promises to be with us every step of the way.
Matthew 11:28-29
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
He kept his promise and sent His Son to show us how to live, die for us, suffer and pay the price as a Sacrifice on the Cross, and rose from the dead. Each and every person needs to read the Word and confess Jesus on their own.
Mormons are just like everyone else as they, too, need to do all of the above. But they are worshipping a different god. God of the Bible is NOT the God of The BOM; they are compared as an apple an orange.
Jesus said:
Matthew 24:11
“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”
Matthew 24:23
“Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.”
The answer? Switch books and read the Bible in its entirety and nothing else. God will see your heart, and if you are sincere, will open your eyes with the help of the Holy Spirit.
As for me?
I’m just God’s tool; I don’t feel the need for long arguments to defend Christianity; I share the Word and let God do the rest. Then I pray and ask God to work His will in your life.
Yeah I’ve always told my kids and volunteers when I train for witnessing tips that Jesus is a big boy and can take care of Himself. 😉 We’re here to share His truth and the Holy Spirit does the convicting/convincing, not us. To believe otherwise is to think you have power that you don’t. 🙂 I’ve found that when I allow Him to work in their lives my life is peaceful.

1 Cor. 1:18
GOD BLESS YOU KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOU ARE DOING..THE POOIR MORMONS ARE BLIND.,ONCE IN A WHILE THEY GET THERE SIGHT BACK AND LEAVE SATIANS TRUE CHURCH
First, I would like to address the fact that there is no specific “Mormonism” that this site is going against. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This church has not practiced polygamy since the 1890’s.There are fundamentalists, the restoration branch, and many other “Mormon” churches. Mormons are Christians. Just look at the title of the church’s name, if we did not believe in Christ why would we bear his name! I don’t see how this site isn’t preaching against others when most of it is preaching against “Mormonism”. Each sect should only Preach their beliefs, not against another sect.
For those who grew up in the church and weren’t allowed to attend another Christian sect, that was your parents choice not the church. I attended other churches with my friends growing up and bible study with Jehovah’s Witness. It’s true not a single soul knows it all, but through studying with these wonderful people with the same faith, but a different understanding has given me a deeper understanding of His gospel. There were questions asked that I didn’t know the answer to, I didn’t receive the answer for months. There is no doubt that each Christian sect has pieces of the truth, but it is only through the fullness of His gospel that we can return to Him.
As for the godhead, we do not believe in a tri-une God. Think of God more as a job title, God, the Father; Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit. They work together to help us find our way, but are not the same person or God is surely a great ventriloquist. They are unified in purpose, not body.
Regarding your article titled “The Unforgiving God of Mormonism”, Yes we are required to repent, we ask for forgiveness and show that we mean it by doing our best not doing whatever we have asked forgiveness of. Why ask for forgiveness and willingly continue doing whatever it is your not supposed to be doing. Make the decision in advance that you aren’t going to do it ever again. As long as, you mean it, He knows we are not perfect and doesn’t expect us to be and sometimes we may not do anything, but the memories of that temptation may return to us to warn us of the danger that lurks ahead.
First, let me say that I am not a member of this blog. What I am is a person who was raised in the LDS church for the first 30 years of my life, and then—based on my own convictions of its truth (that’s a whole other story)—I left and joined a Christian church. I know that you do not like the differentiation (neither did I). I now believe that there is good reason for the differentiation.
You wrote, “Mormons are Christians… if we did not believe in Christ why would we bear his name!”
The differentiation is not only made by today’s Christians, it was originally made by Joseph Smith himself. Looking at your own scripture, we find his account of the First Vision (Pearl of Great Price–Extracts from the History of Joseph Smith, the Prophet
Chapter 1)
19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were allawrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those bprofessorswere all ccorrupt; that: “they ddraw near to me with their lips, but their ehearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines thefcommandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the gpower thereof.”
20 He again forbade me to join with any of them; and many other things did he say unto me, which I cannot write at this time. When I came to myself again, I found myself alying on my back, looking up into heaven. When the light had departed, I had no strength; but soon recovering in some degree, I went home. And as I leaned up to the fireplace, bmother inquired what the matter was. I replied, “Never mind, all is well—I am well enough off.” I then said to my mother, “I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true.” It seems as though the cadversary was aware, at a very early period of my life, that I was destined to prove a disturber and an annoyer of his kingdom; else why should the powers of darkness combine against me? Why the dopposition and persecution that arose against me, almost in my infancy?
By Joseph Smith’s own claim, the Christian churches were all wrong, all an abomination, all corrupt. This sounds to me like he was making a definite differentiation between your faith and mine.
When I was a Mormon, I used to make the same argument that “Jesus Christ” is in the name of the church. The problem is that we are not talking about the same person. If I told you that I am a Christian because I believe in Jesus Christ—he’s a 40 year old guy that lives next door to me, you would probably tell me that that does not make me a Christian (at least I hope you would). The Jesus that historic Christianity believes in is fully God—equal with the Father; He has eternally been God; He is the creator of everything in the universe. The Jesus that Mormonism teaches is not fully God—he is not equal with the Father; He is a created being—there was a time when he was not; He is an exalted man and brother to Satan. These are not the same person. There are many other fundamental differences, but this gives you a sampling.
You then wrote, “Each sect should only Preach their beliefs, not against another sect… There is no doubt that each Christian sect has pieces of the truth, but it is only through the fullness of His gospel that we can return to Him.”
I have two questions in regard to these statements:
1 How is it that we can understand the fullness of the Gospel if we are not aware of where other “sects” have it wrong? By pointing out the truth of one statement, you must—by default—point out the error in a contradictory statement. It is only in our relativistic post-modern society that there has been an understanding of what is true for you is true for you and what is true for me is true for me. Truth is an objective thing. If something is indeed true, all conflicting statements are necessarily false.
2 If the first point is indeed true, are we not required by God’s command and by love to point out the errors of a different “sect” that would prevent the members of that sect from, as you put it, “return[ing] to him”? If I believe something that obscures or destroys the fullness of the Gospel—and, therefore, will prevent me from “returning to him” is it not the loving thing to do to point out that error?
Along a similar line, you wrote, “I attended other churches with my friends growing up and bible study with Jehovah’s Witness. It’s true not a single soul knows it all, but through studying with these wonderful people with the same faith, but a different understanding has given me a deeper understanding of His gospel.”
We have pretty much covered this, so I will just make a couple brief points. Historic Christianity, Mormonism, and Jehovah’s Witnesses do not have the same faith. We already looked at a few of the differences in our understanding of Jesus—to the Jehovah’s witness, Jesus is the archangel Michael. Also, in all three groups salvation is found in very different ways. There may be some similar language, but that is where the similarities end. So, if we are believing in a different God, and finding salvation in a different way, can we really call it the same faith? And, if the gospel is not the same in the three groups, how can it give you a deeper understanding of the Gospel other than to help you see the error of two of them in favor of the correct one? To mix them together, makes a gospel that is foreign to each—and we are back to post-modernism and relativism.
The last section I wanted to point out was where you said, “As for the godhead, we do not believe in a tri-une God. Think of God more as a job title, God, the Father; Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit. They work together to help us find our way, but are not the same person or God is surely a great ventriloquist. They are unified in purpose, not body.”
This shows a fundamental misunderstanding of what the trinity really is. Christianity does NOT say that God is one person. The traditional, historic definition of the Trinity is basically three statements.
1 There is one God.
2 There are three distinct persons.
3 Each person is fully and equally God.
So basically, God is one in essence or being. The one God is made up of three separate distinct persons (the word “persons” gets a little tricky as God is spirit and does not have a body—contrary to Mormon theology—although, after the incarnation, Jesus now has a body—again, that is another discussion). These three persons are distinct—the talk to each other, they have separate roles, and they interact with each other. The Father is not the Son or the Spirit and the Son is not the Father or the Spirit, etc. Finally, although, for example, the Son and the Spirit take a subordinate role to the Father, they are completely equal in deity. All three are fully God they are not each one third God or some “less God” than others.
As to your comment about “The Unforgiving God of Mormonism”, I have not read the article, so I will not make further comment other than to say that Mormonism’s understanding of repentance is fundamentally different than that of Historic Christianity. This is another reason that we must make a differentiation between Mormonism and Christianity and why they do preach entirely different gospels.
I hope this helps.
By Joseph Smith’s own claim, the Christian churches were all wrong, all an abomination, all corrupt. This sounds to me like he was making a definite differentiation between your faith and mine.
Ummmmmm, did you forget WHO told him those churches were all corrupt?
Nephiman –
You’re right. Smith definitely claimed that his god told him all churches were wrong.
I didn’t forget anything about who told Smith what. My question to you is what version of the first vision do you believe? There were at least 9 of them. Did Nephi or Moroni show up the first time? There’s the published version of his first vision in Joseph Smith’s Testimony that says God and Jesus appeared but that differs from another account that tells us just God appeared. http://lifeafterministry.com/2013/08/07/joseph-smiths-first-vision/
The only thing we’re left with are contradictory stories of his claim which means we have to discount all of them.
Michelle
Nephiman
The section of my post that you quoted was in response to the assertion that Mormons are Christians (just a different sect of Christianity). My point is that we are not just different sects. For the record, I reject the First Vision account completely, but the point is that either Mormons are Christians and the “Christian” church is not or the “Christian” church is Christians and Mormons are not. They do not believe in the same Jesus. They do not have the same understanding of who He is (or the Father or the Holy Spirit for that matter). They can not be lumped together as different sects of the same “Church”. And this is an important differentiation because your (and my) eternal destiny rests in which one of these two opposing beliefs we choose to accept.
Yes I am a Latter Day Saint……………………….
I am saddened to see so many “so called christian’s” accusing the lds of not being “christian” considering HIS church is named thus and also we bear his name and are baptized in his name also?..john 3:3-5…
(New Testament | Ephesians 4:4 – 5)
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism
In truth we are NOT nor BELONG to main stream “christianity churches” for all you out there do not agree nor have the same theology and principles, which requires you to be the body of Christ…
(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 12:12)
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
Notice it says “one body many members” in that one body…not 1,000’s of different bodies and 1,000’s of different members?

WHICH God are you referring too?,,,for the Son has a body of flesh and bones…luke 24-29…If you were referring to God the Father, then again your mistaken……Christ said be ye perfect as your Father in heaven in is perfect..Hebrews1-8, why would Christ take his body into heaven [jn 20-17], if NOT perfection requires both body and spirit?

Nepiman,
I responded to your other message (but forgot to fill in my name–so it will probably come up as “anonymous”. I’m not sure where you were going with the “one body–many members” quote. One body is not the same as one denomination. There are multiple denominations within the one body of Christ–all hold to the essential doctrines of Christianity (which Mormonism does not), but differ on secondary issues. Ever individual Christian is a member of the one body of Christ (the Church)–whether that person is Baptist or Presbyterian or non-denominational, etc.
As to whether or not the Father has a body of flesh and bone, I think it goes without saying that I reject the authority of the Doctrine and Covenants as any kind of inspired Scripture. John 4:24 says that God is Spirit. There is no reason to believe that to be perfect, one requires a body. I do agree that it is only through Christ that we can go to the Father–that is abundantly clear from Scripture. The same goes for resurrection. I firmly believe that we will be resurrected and have perfected bodies. But how does that prove that the Father has a body? The Father is not a glorified man. He did not live on another planet as a person. For that matter, the Son and the Holy Spirit also are eternally God–Jesus did not come into existence at some point in history–although he (as already God) did take on a body of flesh and blood in order to live a perfect life and die for us–taking on our sins that we may be saved. Jesus suffered God’s wrath in our place thereby removing condemnation from all who would believe in him. But Jesus was already perfect before he took on a body of flesh and blood.
There are NOT multiple denominations within the one body of Christ…that’s anarchy and confusion….Christ said a house divided cannot stand–
You state all hold to the essential doctrines of Christianity …Really what is the difference what we state and how is it and how does it differ from the scriptures?
Again you state…There is no reason to believe that to be perfect, one requires a body….if this is the case, why did Christ take his body to show the Father [john 20:17] and what purpose and difference was the resurrection of both body and spirit which we have preached about since the restoration of the Gospel of Christ?…romans 8:17
Again you state… But how does that prove that the Father has a body? The Father is not a glorified man….Genesis 1:26 says your wrong..
He did not live on another planet as a person….Show me where heaven is if not a sphere or planet?
For that matter, the Son and the Holy Spirit also are eternally God–Jesus did not come into existence at some point in history–
A Son is not always a son, if he has a father, he has a beginning….simple logic and reasoning.

We can argue back and forth all day as to whether multiple denominations can exist within the one body of Christ. But, let me just point out a few things.
1. Paul and Barnabas had a “sharp disagreement” and separated ways–does this mean that one of them was no longer a Christian?
2. Are you really going to argue that to be part of the same body, you have to agree 100% on every detail of every doctrine in order to be considered part of the one body of Christ? If so, I think that the Body of Christ will consist of 1 member–not many. I have yet to meet any two people (inside of Mormonism or outside) that agreed on every detail of every point of doctrine.
As to essential doctrines of Christianity–they are usually listed in this way (although some will break these down more or less into subcategories):
1. The deity of Christ. Mormons and Christians disagree on this one. Mormons do not see Jesus as being fully and equally God in the same way that Christians do.
2. Salvation by Grace. Again we don’t see this the same way. Christianity affirms that salvation comes by grace alone through faith alone. Mormonism has several works that are needed for salvation (for the sake of argument I am going to consider the “Celestial Kingdom” as salvation–Terrestrial or Telestial Kingdoms are less than ultimate potential). You need to have not only a different understanding of repentance, but also, baptism and temple endowments. None of this is required in Christian salvation.
3. Resurrection of Christ. I would probably say that, as long as you overlook some of the related doctrines where we would disagree entirely, we are in general agreement on this one–that Jesus was resurrected on the third day after His crucifixion.
4. Monotheism. We are not even remotely in the same ball park here. Christians believe in ONE God (in three persons). Mormons believe in three gods who are in a chain of previous gods who are in a chain of previous gods. (you know–“As man now is, God once was; as God is now man may be.” (The Teachings of Lorenzo Snow))
5. The Trinity. Again, we have a world of difference here–as we have already touched on before, and will be touched on again in this response.
As to how John 20:17 shows the necessity of a body in order to be perfect is beyond me. Again the connection with Romans 8:17 is a mystery to me. I would love for you to explain from these passages (or any Bible passages for that matter) the requirement of a body of flesh and bone to be perfect. There is a difference between saying that we will have perfected bodies after the resurrection and saying that God needed a body in order to be perfect.
Genesis 1:26 says nothing of a physical body. “In our image” has more to do with God’s nature than physical appearance. The very next verse causes difficulty with your view. Both male and female were created in His image. So, if we are talking about physical appearance, you have to draw a line and say that some parts of His image exist in man, but not others. Instead, we read in the Bible that God is Spirit (John 4:24) and that God is invisible (Col 1:15, 1Tim 1:17, Heb 11:27). We see in 1Kng 8:27 that the heavens cannot contain Him.
As to whether God lived on another planet as a person. We read things such as Heb 11:3 that the universe was created by Him. There were no planets before God. Saints (and angels, for that matter exist in space and time and, therefore heaven created for them must be some actual place. But God exists on a different plane than us. He is not a creature–not a material being. (Before you ask, yes–Jesus exists in a physical place–he has a glorified human body). Therefore, God does not require a physical place in order to dwell. He is everywhere all the time (omnipresence).
Finally, you stated that Jesus is a Son and, therefore, has a beginning. This is a common misconception (part of which started with a mistranslation of a Greek word–monogenes. Mono–meaning single or one, and genes (coming from genos)–meaning kind. The mistranslation came from the misunderstanding in thinking that genes came from gennao–meaning birth or offspring. Therefore only-begotten should be translated more correctly as one of a kind. However, even with the translation of only begotten, the church has been careful to note that begotten is not a term of origin, but a term of relationship.
For example, the Nicene Creed (325 AD) states that Jesus was ETERNALLY begotten and that he was begotten–not made. The understanding of the church has always been that Jesus is without beginning–that he is eternal (without beginning or end)–that he is God.

1 Owing to the many reports which have been put in circulation by evil-disposed and designing persons, in relation to the rise and progress of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, all of which have been designed by the authors thereof to militate against its character as a Church and its progress in the world—I have been induced to write this history, to disabuse the public mind, and put all inquirers after truth in possession of the facts, as they have transpired, in relation both to myself and the Church, so far as I have such facts in my possession.
2 In this history I shall present the various events in relation to this Church, in truth and righteousness, as they have transpired, or as they at present exist, being now [1838] the aeighth byear since the organization of the said Church.

Now I suggest you read the rest of his history!
I am a convert to the Mormon Church. I rely on Jesus Christ every min of the day. I have raised 5 children, always with a prayer in my heart asking for help. Nowhere have I been taught or read or feel or see any of my Sisters or Brothers practicing the “doing it on your own” thing. Christ is at the door, let him in. Praying always in everything you do. In everything you wonder about doing. Christ is the Light, we are his children following in his footsteps.
Man is saved by only one, and that is through Jesus Christ. We follow in his footsteps, emulating him. That is the work we are to do, Do as Jesus Does. I believe most Christians follow that same plan. I see bracelets with What would Jesus Do on them ., so we agree. If helping people, loving them, caring for them and bringing the Light of Christ to them is work, then you need to focus on the light inside yourselves. Doing as Jesus did is life, not work. Yes all mankind will receive a body, they will see our Heavenly Father again. All this is part of what the Atonement is about. Life after death. But we will be judged on how well we followed our Brother Jesus and his teachings after we pass. Then you can argue the point you have of work. Did you live as Christ did? In all things? Every min of your life here on earth? .Did you love your neighbor? Never judging him and casting stones?
If you feel you were preached hard on serving others, then that person loved you enough to try and help you understand how much your Father in Heavenly Loves you by sending his Son to die for us and to show us how we are to live.
People are not perfect in the Mormon Church. The Church is Perfect. It is Gods Church. We are his hands.
I love you all, as children of God we are bothers and sisters. I pray you will ask for yourself in earnest prayer how Heavenly Father wants you to live your life. If you are not prompted to change, then that is your choice. Live what you believe with out trying to destroy others.
Remember Alma on the road with his rioting friends? Trying to destroy the Church and the people within. He was given a second chance. An Angel showed him in his heart the truth.
Look inside, pray, rely on prayer and your Savior. Love everyone. Be kind. Use kind words. Share what you have with all. No judging. .
Hello Doris, Thank you for taking the time to visit and comment on our blog. I’m going to get right to the point and answer your questions and concerns.
In your message you asked:
“Did you live as Christ did? In all things? Every min of your life here on earth?”
If I’m being honest and if Mormons were to be honest they would have to answer this section of questions with a “No”. Why the answer No? Because we’re all sinners we’ve all fallen short of the glory of God. None of us live as Jesus did every minute of our lives here on earth.
Our mission here is to lead people to the real Jesus Christ. I know you’ll say that you already know Jesus Christ, but when one digs into what your religion teaches they’ll see that that statement is far from the truth. Once you start to peel back the layers of Mormons you’ll see it’s nothing but a false gospel, with a false salvation, wrapped around the name of a false Christ.
If you truly, and I mean truly thought that “Man is saved by only one, and that is through Jesus Christ”, then why do you do temple works for the dead? Could it be that Jesus is merely one tool used for your salvation so when all else fails and you can’t “do all you can do” He’s there to step in and save you?
Please don’t act as if we’re so naive as to not know what you’re doing by pleading with us to “pray” and “ask” God if this is what we’re supposed to do. We’re very familiar the Mormon pleas to pray and read the Book of Mormon, and ask with a sincere heart if it and the church are true. We’ve heard it all before.
We wouldn’t be doing what we’re doing without prayer; everything we do in this ministry is bathed in prayer. Does God want us to share Jesus Christ with the Mormons, yes He does. Does He want to see them saved from a religion of bondage and to a life of freedom in His son, absolutely!
You talked a lot about Jesus Christ, but you really don’t know who He is. Why don’t you take time to sit down with the book of John and discover that for yourself? –Melissa Grimes
“Leading Mormons to the REAL Jesus Christ”
I LIKE this sub-title!
2 Cor 11 and Gal 1 is all the convincing I need.
Hello Michelle Grim
Blessings from us from Fort Worth, Texas!!!
It has been almost 10 years that we were help by your ministry leaving the LDS church. Ever since we been attending a Christian Church. Thank you for assisting us to have all our names removed.
God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ.
Hi Joe!!! So good to hear from you guys! How’s your family? The last time we spoke you and your wife had just found a nice church that seemed to be good for your son. Hope all is well!
I am so blessed to hear from you again and to know you have the truth about Jesus.
Hope to hear from you guys again soon!
With Love in Christ;

1 Corinthians 1:18
Wonderful site. I look forward to reading your in-depth articles. I especially was impressed with your writings about the temple of Solomon vs Nephi’s temple. The Mormon church is an abomination. I was raised LDS and stayed until I was 35. It can take a long time to shake off the lie. By God’s grace, I am saved today. I see the heresy that the ‘prophets’ continue to promulgate. I have a sense that the church will fall by the weight of its lies. Something will happen and it will be completely exposed for the money-making machine it is. Gal 1:8-10 sums it all up quite nicely and sadly.
And the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints continues to grow, Sandra. I am hoping you have found a happy place for you and your family. Be well.
Hey Michelle – I sent you an email the other day… hope all is well.
Hi, did you realize that there are two ads running on your website for a free BoM from Mormon.org.
So what is your definition of a Christian? To me you seem little different than. ISIS. If a practice of Islam does not conform to theirs it is an abomination in their eyes. My grand father, a Methodist minister, baby of the sales you find in the LDS church and their history you can also find in mine. Does that make me not a Christian? The LDS church is different true, but I have an unwavering love for Christ and the Bible in every Mormon I have met. What gives you the right to judge them and say what they believe? It seems like you are the ones that are wrapped. Kind of like the KKK. They claim to be Christian. I don’t agree with then but I have no right to judge their faith in Christ I’m black and can say that I have issues with their teachings, but I have no authority to judge their faith.
Hello Gentry,
To answer your first question, the definition of a Christian is someone who is a follower of Jesus Christ. This means that this person does what Jesus has commanded them to do.
Mormons aren’t Christians because they believe in a completely different Jesus. The Jesus of Mormonism is a created being, he was first created as a spirit baby of the Mormon god and his goddess wife, he’s also the spirit brother of Lucifer. The Bible tells us that Jesus was with God from the very beginning (John 1:1) and he created everything, including Lucifer (Colossians 1:16).
Christians are to use discernment and judge righteously. You can judge the KKK and others like ISIS without worrying about disobeying God. Those people go against all that God desires. They are the ones who are in disobedience to God. They murder and terrorize people just because they don’t believe as they do or look like them.
If you truly are a follower of Jesus you have the authority to judge the KKK because He gave you that authority when you became His. By their fruits, you will know them. The fruits of groups like the KKK are rotten.
I’m not sure why you’re comparing us to the KKK or ISIS. Our goals and desire have always been to point people to Jesus, the real Jesus. To share the real gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, to Mormons and to those who are questioning Mormonism. I pray you can see the difference between what we do and what they do. – Melissa Grimes
You all claim to worship god but
I watch and listen to people and their actions. When a person. Sets a book along side the Holy Bible and that book contradicts the Holy Bible then that book, no matter how one picks and chooses scriptures from the Bible to try and back up their book, is from false profits. Especially when there are so many natural contradictions within this false book.
We must pray for Jesus to come into the life and truly reveal himself to people who have been misled like Mr. Rakoto whos speach is venomous. His teachings are convoluted and dangerous to people who are seeking and or new to Christ.
Many blessings
Sincerely
Senior Pastor

“The suffering described here is not the thorns and thistles of the fall in general (Rom. 8:18–25); nor is it persecution due to hypocrisy, judgmentalism, or just general obnoxiousness. It is certainly not the imagined persecution of heightened sensitivity that has more to do with identity politics than the cost of discipleship. We dare not trivialize persecution in that way when brothers and sisters are being imprisoned by oppressive regimes and dying at the hands of extremists. The suffering that is blessed here is suffering for righteousness’ sake—being persecuted for doing the will of our Master. To embrace the promise of this beatitude, the persecution must be for doing His righteous will (1 Peter 3:8–17). It is only then that ours is the “kingdom of heaven.” Matthew’s phrase, synonymous with the “kingdom of God,” is his way of reminding us that God’s righteous rule (in the heavens) is not man’s way (Isa. 55:9). Those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake are living out God’s ways in the midst of a world that does not respect and will even reject them. Having the root meaning of “pursued,” being persecuted will take violent and extreme forms as well as subtler ones such as ridicule, dismissiveness, marginalization, and exclusion.”
John 13:34 Context
31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.
33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Shouldn’t true Christians, believers in Jesus Christ and what He has done for each and everyone one of us, be busy loving and lifting each and every person around them, as it is a commandment? I always find it interesting that so many “Christians” are so busy trying to show others how wrong they are, because they don’t believe as they do. Why? I always thought we are to love, unconditionally, be an example in our behavior, and pray for those who need our prayers. I truly believe that God and our Savior, Jesus Christ, are our judges. We are commanded to “judge not, for as we judge, so will we be judged”.
I was Catholic for the first 36 years of my life, and I thought I was doing ok. And then I heard a message that changed my life…and I realized that, until then, I was really lost. It’s been 41 years since my baptism, and I’ve never had a moment’s doubt about leaving the Catholic church and becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have a very strong testimony of this church, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, and I know that I am a child of God, who loves me and wants me to have joy and happiness in my life. I know that I will (and have) suffered persecution because of my belief…but that’s ok.
Know that I still love you, and hope you might find happiness in your love of Jesus Christ, to the point that you will strive to be like Him…and not waste your precious time putting people down because they don’t believe like you. My goal is to return to live with our Heavenly Father after I leave this life…and I do not fear death…for I know, beyond a shadow of doubt, that the best is yet to come. And, if I live my life trying to be like Jesus (what would Jesus do?), I am promised eternal life with my family…with my God…with my Savior, Jesus Christ. What could be better than that?
With much love and compassion…respectfully…your sister (for you are a child of God, which makes me your sister, right?)…
