For almost two centuries now Christians worldwide have questioned the validity of the LDS Church’s claim of being a Christian church. While the list of reasons why they aren’t Christian is extensive, one of those reasons is our focus here today; racism.
The Apostle John told us in his first epistle the mark of a believer is someone who loves his brother. Clearly, the leadership of the LDS Church has taught otherwise and subsequently the adherents have followed suit.
1 John 2:11; “But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.”
We’ve written numerous articles and produced countless PSA’s on racism in the Church and to make your search easier for the stuff you need we’ve posted their location here.
A Lack of Accountability – Race Relations and the Mormon Church
The article above was written by a former LDS bishop who gives us an inside look at what he did as a bishop for the Church. He shows how the Church publicly changed their policies about race yet kept the scriptural teachings. His ministry now is providing radio programs for Christians and Mormon converts in Liberia. This is a must read!

Dear Delanie –
First I want to thank you for visiting our blog and let you know that we’re praying for you.
I have a question for you Delanie. Exactly what did I say that’s a lie?
It’s obvious you’re very angry and I have to say that I remember that anger well. I hated it whenever someone would tell me Joseph Smith was a false prophet and I hated the Christians who asked me if I’d read my Bible to compare it with the Church’s teachings.
You stated that I obviously hadn’t been to the Church’s website and I’m wondering why you’d think that. For every single statement I’ve made on this blog and on the other site is always made with the references from the Church. I require that all my volunteers only use information provided by the Church and no other source. We use lds.org, Gospelink, Ensign, Conference Reports, Liahona, et al.
I want you to know Delanie just how much Jesus loves you – He hung on that cross specifically for you because of His love. 1 John 4:19, John 15:13.
The reason we do this isn’t out of animosity or because we’re bored or to “bash Mormons”.
We do this because of our love and heartache we carry for the Mormon people. Most of my volunteers are ex-Mormons and they as well as I know the confusion between the teachings of the Church and the Bible.
Furthermore, I do this because I’m absolutely and 100% positively convinced the Mormon people love Jesus. The problem is that the Jesus of Mormonism is not the Jesus of the Bible. President Hinckley said as much and so did Elder Holland in the 1997 Ensign.
I know the love I had in my heart for Mormonism and Jesus at the same time and couldn’t believe it when I began researching my own heritage only to find out the Church doesn’t believe in the Jesus of the Bible. It almost killed me, literally. I took 3 solid years to research and that was before the internet was invented – my living room looked like a library with all the books written by LDS authorities that were stacked up on every table and laying all over the floors.
I finally had no choice but to leave everything I loved to ensure that I could live eternally with Jesus.
We’re praying for you Delanie and hope to hear back from you.
I hope you take the time to investigate the things we’ve said here. I don’t want you or anyone else to just take my word for it – check it out and make sure for yourself. You owe yourself that much.
And we want to know if you find anything on the blog or the site that has incorrect information so we can correct it immediately.
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
