Salvation; Kill to Save Someone

Journal of Discourses 4:53; “I know, when you hear my brethren telling about cutting people off from the earth, that you consider it is strong doctrine; but it is to save them, not to destroy them.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, September 21, 1856

Psalm 11:5; “The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.”

Cutting people off from the earth to save them? Where is this doctrine in the Bible? God doesn’t need your blood to be spilled in order to save you. That’s what Jesus’ sacrifice was for!
