Woe to Bible Haters

2 Nephi 15:24; “Therefore, as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, their root shall be rottenness, and their blossoms shall go up as dust; because they have cast away the law of the Lord of Hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.”

 

 

 

Psalm 19:7-9; “The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.”

This all sounds great on the part of the Mormon.  Until you read the rest of the story… 

Sadly when you take this verse all by itself it sounds Christian. It makes you wonder what was going on in the mind of Smith to use so much of the KJV and condemn it in his next breath.
