Paid Ministry Contradictions
2 Nephi 26:31; “But the laborer in Zion shall labor for Zion; for if they labor for money they shall perish.”
1 Timothy 5:18; “For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.”
Don’t let the Mormon Church let you believe they have no paid ministry. While lower positions of authority figures in the Church do not get paid, General Authorities, apostles and prophets do. Paid salaries are administered to anyone who works full time in the Church.
Many church members believe that only the evil ministers and priests of Christianity get rich by serving in their prospective denominations.
Typically, pastors, ministers and the average Christian missionary don’t go into this business for money. Like teachers, they do this because the Lord has called them to the ministry and because they love what they do.
