Mormon Dilemma 457

Joseph Smith, the Chosen One

“Come: Hear the Voice of the Lord”, Ensign, December 1985; “Joseph Smith himself read in the book of James the famous words known to us all: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” (James 1:5.)

In describing his feelings at the time, he said: “Never did any passage of scripture come with more power to the heart of man than this did at this time to mine. It seemed to enter with great force into every feeling of my heart. I reflected on it again and again.” (JS—H 1:12.)

Then, because the hour had come for the ushering in of the dispensation of the fulness of times, and because he was the one chosen and foreordained from eternity to commence the work, the Great God and his Beloved Son, descending in eternal splendor from the courts of glory, manifested themselves to this guileless and believing youth.

But, be it remembered, the scripture was the guidepost leading to the receipt of the First Vision, a vision equalled by few in import and glory in all the history of the world.”

Proverbs 14:5; “A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.”

Joseph Smith:

Chosen One

Unequalled Vision

Foreordained from Eternity

God came down from heaven

Hear the voice of the Lord

Guileless

Who are you worshipping?

It’s not often when such words are used for Jesus in Mormonism and here they’ve spread a table of honorable attributes for a mere man who was a:

Lawbreaker

Covenant-breaker

Polygamist

Thief

Adulterer

Glass-looker

Scam artist

Liar

Mason

Not only did Smith lie to the unsuspecting, all other Mormons who keep his lies going are also guilty of the same. The man Joseph Smith is looked upon with awe and wonder in Mormonism and rare is the day when his name isn’t praised.  The young man who said he went to the woods to pray made his living taking money and trust from people while knowing his actions weren’t sincere or godly.

Sadly people like my mother believe these lies of Joseph Smith and not know fantastic truths about Jesus in passages like Isaiah 53. There are 48 prophecies of Jesus in that one chapter and all were fulfilled. If you’re a Christian church why wouldn’t your people know these things?
