Mormon Dilemma 644

19th Century Hot Topics

Infant Baptisms

Moroni 8:9; “And after this manner did the Holy Ghost manifest the word of God unto me; wherefore, my beloved son, I know that it is solemn mockery before God, that ye should baptize little children.”

Galatians 3:26-27; “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”

Infant baptism was not an issue in the early Church, so why is it in the Book of Mormon?

This was a hot topic in the 19th century during Joseph Smith’s day. This is only one of the subjects that were hotly debated in the body of Christ that mysteriously shows up in the Book of Mormon.
