False Prophecies of Mormonism No Moths in America

3 Nephi 13:20: “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.”

Matthew 6:19; “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal.”

There are a couple of issues in today’s false prophecy so let’s get started!

1. Moths were nonexistent in the Americas before the import of domesticated sheep from Europe.

The sheep that are indigenous to the Americas have never been domesticated and their hair or fur doesn’t produce enough material to harvest.  The sheep from Banff, Candada over to the right is typical of what we see on the American Continent. The white fluff balls you see out in the fields of Israel, the British Isles and elsewhere didn’t see America until the early sixteenth century. It’s believed Christopher Columbus brought the first domesticated sheep to the Americas on his second voyage.

The Nephites in this stage of the game wouldn’t have known what cotton and wool was or even moths for that matter.

2. How would Nephi know what Matthew or Jesus said?

If Smith was inspire of God then why did he have to plagiarize others?
