False Prophecies of Mormonism Not Saved in Our Sins

General Conference, April 1998; “We are not saved in our sins, as by being unconditionally saved through confessing Christ and then, inevitably, committing sins in our remaining lives. We are saved from our sins by a weekly renewal of our repentance and cleansing through the grace of God and His blessed plan of salvation.” – Dallin Oaks

Romans 5:8; “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

This so-called plan of salvation is from Satan, not God. As we’ve mentioned countless times before, Joseph Smith took every teaching of the Lord and turned it on its proverbial head. There isn’t one single doctrine of Mormonism that is theologically sound. Not one.  

Being saved “from” our sins is kind of what the Holy Spirit does through His work of regeneration in us, but the Church doesn’t believe the HS can reside inside someone constantly – D&C 130:23; which again is completely opposite of what Jesus said in John 14:16.
