False Prophecies of Mormonism Thunder and Lightning Changed Earth’s Formation

3 Nephi 8:12; “But behold, there was a more great and terrible destruction in the land northward; for behold, the whole face of the land was changed, because of the tempest and the whirlwinds, and the thunderings and the lightnings, and the exceedingly great quaking of the whole earth.”

Ephesians 6:11; “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

Have you ever known lightning and thunder to change the formation of earth? Thunder is the noise caused by lightning and other than it starting fires, slicing trees in half or zapping people, lightning has never been known to change the formation of the earth!  

The earth changing because of flooding or quaking can and does happen but why would an all knowing God include the phrase of whirlwinds and thundering and lightning in this passage when those things can’t change the earth this way?
