God’s Omniscience and Omnipresence

Journal of Discourses 2:345; “Everyone knows that it is absurd to believe in a personage being present in two places at once.”But,” says one, nothing is impossible with God.” But I beg to differ with such persons, and inform them, that if the Scripture be true, there are things which are impossible with God; for it is said that it is impossible for Him to lie; and if so, it would be impossible for Him to act inconsistent with truth; He could not place His body in Europe and America at the same time, for that would be inconsistent with the simplest principles of truth.” – Orson Pratt, Salt Lake City, February 15, 1855

Psalm 139:7-10; “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?  8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.  9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.”

This type of bickering from the Mormon apostle Orson Pratt is much like that of an atheist.

Nitpicking phrases when you haven’t studied the Bible is an indication you hate God and don’t trust His word.  His words are patronizing and invite others into his web of lies and unbelief.  

If you don’t believe in God or what the Bible says that’d be sad and I’d pray for you. I just don’t get why people purposefully go out of their way to trick others in this fashion.
