Indians Will Believe the BoM
Hebrews 4:12-13; “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.”
There are a lot of issues going on in these verses so let’s take a closer look…
1. The book Nephi’s referring to is of course the BoM. He’s saying that many will believe their words and then carry them to the remnant of the Israelites still living in America.
2. DNA testing has proven the Indians of America don’t carry the DNA of the Israelites.
3. The American Indians have rejected the BoM for the most part. While you can see portions of the Navajo and Blackfoot tribes who have a few members that joined Mormonism this is far from the Indians believing the words of this man.
4. American Indians take great pride in being who they are so why would they subject themselves to a theory that says their dark skin is a curse? What purpose does this serve for them?
5. Why isn’t the Mormon Church setting up camp next to the places where the American Indians live and helping them? Why do they allow these people to live in poverty if they’re the wealthiest church after Catholics?
6. If God is aware of all His creatures wouldn’t He also know the Bible needed to be delivered to the Indians in America? Why would He need another book if the Bible is sufficient to lead a person to Himself?
