False Prophecies of Mormonism Mormon Jesus not the Christian Jesus

Church News, June 20, 1998; “In bearing testimony of Jesus Christ, President Hinckley spoke of those outside the Church who say Latter-day Saints “do not believe in the traditional Christ. No, I don’t. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in this the Dispensation of the Fulness of Times. He, together with His Father, appeared to the boy Joseph Smith in the year 1820, and when Joseph left the grove that day, he knew more of the nature of God than all the learned ministers of the gospel of the ages.” – Gordon B. Hinckley, LDS Prophet

Matthew 24:4-5, 11; “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”

I know I’ve said this before about other scenarios in Mormonism, but I have to point out another example – if ever there was a scripture showing the fulfillment of a prophecy this would be it.

I don’t know how many times I’ve read the statement made by Mr. Hinckley, but each time I do it sends shivers down my spine.  How utterly scary this is!  Many Mormons and sometimes even Christians don’t realize they’re watching the Bible come alive in real time.

There is absolutely nothing in this world that could happen that’s worse than this playing out and people believing the lies of mankind.  I know there’s a lot of tragedies in this world with earthquakes, hurricanes, typhoons and I certainly don’t want to take away from the loss of life or homes., When we look at these things in the long run they all pale in comparison to just one person lying and leading millions down the pathway to hell like Smith has done.
