False Church of Mosiah in BC 145

July 7 – Jeremiah 14:14; “Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart”.

Christ started His church by telling Peter that ‘upon this rock I build my church’.  Matt. 16:18.  However, here in the book of Mosiah in 145 BC, the prophet Joseph Smith claims that the church was started by Alma.  Two other items of interest would include the church having a high priest.  Hebrews chapters 9 & 10 say the Jesus is the only high priest.  Also, church is a Greek word, so why is it being used in the times of the Old Testament?
