[Heber J. Grant] For your information, please be advised that the
Philippians 3:18-20; “(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ”.
If you’re a Christian, what pastor do you know of that operates in such a manner? In my 20+ years of experience with the body of Christ, I’ve never come across any such arrangement as the Mormon Church has set up for themselves!
In the business world, there’s no such thing as not being accountable to a board of directors and bylaws. Even this ministry has a board, along with bylaws, and as small as it is, I still have to answer to people.
Why would anyone, let alone a Christian entity, endow themselves with such empirical power? Is this for Jesus or their own self interest?
Given that Mormonism is supposedly a Christian organization, does this sound Christian to you?
Is this something Jesus would do?
