How does Joe Smith explain this one?
3 Nephi 4:4
Meanwhile…seven years later…
3 Nephi 6:1; “And now it came to pass that the people of the Nephites did all return to their own lands in the twenty and sixth year, every man, with his family, his flocks and his herds, his horses and his cattle, and all things whatsoever did belong unto them.”
Psalm 55:23; “But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: Bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in thee.”
It looks like all meat products on the face of the earth were only available via means of the Nephites, whose food storage program looked like it was on steroids.
The text tells us they subsisted on a seven year stockpile of animals, and unwilling to share any of their supplies.
So…If all the meat on earth would last seven years, and that was for the Nephites only, from where did they [the Nephites] get their flocks, herds, horses, and cattle at the end of the seven years?
Did they grow more? When they went back to their own countries, from where did the animals originate?
If you say they took the animals with them, why does the text disagree with this theory?
If you say the animals came from their old hometowns, then why would the enemies have to fight the Nephites for food? Wouldn’t it already have been where the enemy was residing?
