The Mormon piety of godhood status stands alone in Christian belief. Furthermore, no one in Mormonism is allowed to question the dogma they’ve espoused even though its basic tenets are anything but conventional. Ask your Mormon friend this: if God had reached the utopia of Mormon salvation, i.e. godhood status, why is a council of gods needed to design his earth if he had achieved perfection? Wouldn’t he already know these things?

Key to the Science of Theology, p. 48; “A General Assembly, Quorum or Grand Council of the Gods, with their President at their head, constitute the designing and creating power. The motive power, which moves to action this grand creative power, is wisdom, which discovers a use for all these riches, and inspires the carrying out of all the designs in an infinite variety of utility and adaptation.” – Parley Pratt, LDS Apostle
