Ensign, ‘What Think Ye of Christ?’, November 1988 “Man unquestionably has impressive powers… But after all our obedience and good works, we cannot be saved from the effects of our sins without the grace extended by the atonement of Jesus Christ… Man cannot earn his own salvation.” — Dallin H. General Conference, “This Day,” April 2007 “It is hard to know when we have done enough for the Atonement to change our natures and so qualify us for eternal life. And we don’t know how many days we will have to give the service necessary for that mighty change to come. But we know that we will have days enough if only we don’t waste them.” — Henry B. Angels the Offspring of Adam and Eve

Mormon Doctrine of Deity, p. 256 “What are angels? They are intelligences of the human species. Many of them are offsprings of Adam and Eve. That is they are men, who have, like Enoch or Elijah, been translated; or, like Jesus Christ, been raised from the dead; consequently they possess a material body of flesh and bones, can eat, drink, walk, converse, reason, love, fight, wrestle, sing, or play on musical instruments. They can go or come on foreign missions, in heaven, earth, or hell; and they can travel space, and visit the different worlds, with all the ease and alacrity with which God and Christ do the same, being possessed of similar organizations, powers and attributes in a degree.”— B. H. Roberts, LDS Church Historian, 1903 (more…)
LDS: God ‘had a Right’ to Sleep with Mary
Posted in False Prophecies of the Mormon Church, tagged false apostle of Mormonism, God had sex with Mary, Orson Pratt, The Seer on 10/27/2019| 2 Comments »
‘Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let thy glory be above all the earth.’ Psalm 57:5
The psalm above is also a beloved song for Christians worldwide. It evokes believers to stand while singing, and reflect with awe the wonders of God Almighty, and the Power He alone holds.
Today’s LDS reference is a reminder of how the Mormon god is fixated on one thing, and that’s sex.
There’s absolutely no excuse for what Mr. Pratt said in his book, ‘The Seer’, and must be regarded as the highest form of debauchery. While everyone is familiar with Pratt’s explanation that the body of Jesus required both a mother and father, we thought it imperative to look at the rest of what he said. (more…)

General Conference, ‘Keeping Life’s Demands in Balance,’ April 1987 “Just do the very best you can each day. Do the basic things and, before you realize it, your life will be full of spiritual understanding that will confirm to you that your Heavenly Father loves you. When a person knows this, then life will be full of purpose and meaning, making balance easier to maintain.” — M. Russell Ballard (more…)
Dallin Oaks: Heavenly Jesus Still Trying to Save

‘When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.’ John 19:30
Two comments by Dallin Oaks at General Conference serve as a reminder the Church isn’t following the true Jesus of the Bible. Our reference today was retrieved this from the Church’s Facebook page on the weekend of General Conference. See Dallin Facebook Video, or ‘Trust in the Lord’ video and transcript, for more info.
“Today at general conference I discussed what we know about the spirit world. I also shared that we should be cautious to not speculate about things we do not know.
That comment is a heads up! Mr. Oaks should’ve taken his own advice, alas, he chose instead to ‘teach for doctrine the commandments of men’ as it says in Mark 7:7. (more…)

Race Will Perish with Unchaste Lives

LDS First Presidency Message “We Believe in Being Chaste,” Ensign, Sept. 1981, 3 “You will recall Alma’s teaching his son Corianton that unchastity is the most serious offense there is in the sight of God, except for murder or denying the Holy Ghost. (See Alma 39:5.) President Clark, in a conference address in October 1938, said: ‘Chastity is fundamental to our life and to our civilization. If the race becomes unchaste, it will perish. Immorality has been basic to the destruction of mighty nations of the past; it will bring to dust the mighty nations of the present. You young people, may I directly entreat you to be chaste. Please believe me when I say that chastity is worth more than life itself. This is the doctrine my parents taught me; it is truth. It is better to die chaste than to live unchaste. The salvation of your very souls is concerned in this.’ Now, my dear friends, we know there is nothing new in what we have said. These things are time-tested; they are true. To this we testify.” — Marion Romney (more…)

Journal of Discourses 13:125-126 “Jesus … established his kingdom on the earth…. the kingdoms of this world made war against the kingdom of God, established eighteen centuries ago, and they prevailed against it, and the kingdom ceased to exist. … This is what we believe; and it is the sincere belief and faith of the Latter-day Saints that we are in that kingdom. It is true that our King is now absent: he is in the heavens. But we expect him again; we look for him and he will come in his own due time… in organizing this kingdom He has restored all the essential characteristics of His kingdom in its embryo, or its beginning: such as inspired men, inspired prophets, inspired leaders, called by revelation to act in different positions.” — Orson Pratt, Salt Lake City, April 10, 1870 (more…)

General Conference, ‘Always Retain a Remission of Your Sins,’ Saturday Afternoon Session, April 2, 2016 “As members of the Lord’s restored Church, we are blessed both by our initial cleansing from sin associated with baptism and by the potential for an ongoing cleansing from sin made possible through the companionship and power of the Holy Ghost. …
… The act of partaking of the sacrament, in and of itself, does not remit sins. But as we prepare conscientiously and participate in this holy ordinance with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, then the promise is that we may always have the Spirit of the Lord to be with us. And by the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost as our constant companion, we can always retain a remission of our sins.” — David A. Bednar (more…)

NEW LDS PROGRAM REVEALS DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO KEEP MISSIONARIES
Posted in Mormon Newsroom, tagged Dale Renlund, false apostle of Mormonism, LDS Missionaries, new missionary program 2018 on 11/18/2018| Leave a Comment »
“A missionary is someone sent by Jesus Christ just as He was sent by God. The great controlling factor is not the needs of people, but the command of Jesus. The source of our inspiration in our service for God is behind us, not ahead of us. The tendency today is to put the inspiration out in front— to sweep everything together in front of us and make it conform to our definition of success. But in the New Testament the inspiration is put behind us, and is the Lord Jesus Himself. The goal is to be true to Him— to carry out His plans.
Personal attachment to the Lord Jesus and to His perspective is the one thing that must not be overlooked. In missionary work the great danger is that God’s call will be replaced by the needs of the people, to the point that human sympathy for those needs will absolutely overwhelm the meaning of being sent by Jesus. The needs are so enormous, and the conditions so difficult, that every power of the mind falters and fails…” ~ Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest, ‘What is a Missionary’, October 26
Gone are the days when LDS missionaries were told ‘I’d rather you come home in a casket, than come home early’. In an effort to hold tight to that which isn’t theirs, the Church is throwing out all kinds of ideas to keep the younger generation from leaving the fold.
A new missionary program announced by the LDS Newsroom this week has basically rewritten their definition of what constitutes a missionary. It’s become painfully obvious they’re throwing anything at the wall hoping something will stick… (more…)
