 February 6 – Self Exaltation Brings Damnation. Paul told us in 2 Thess. 2:4-8 anyone who exalts himself to sit on the throne of God would be revealed as a man of sin. It’s the man of wickedness who does this, and then the Lord will “consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming”.

 November 26 –Salvation Only Through Mormonism. Romans 14:17-20 “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.”

Book of Mormon Witnesses

 Encyclopedia of Mormonism, pg. 214 “The witnesses were men known for truthfulness and sobriety. Though each of the Three Witnesses was eventually excommunicated from the Church (two returned), none ever denied or retracted his published testimony. Each reaffirmed at every opportunity the veracity of his testimony and the reality of what he had seen and experienced…Five of these Eight Witnesses remained solidly with the Church; John Whitmer was excommunicated in 1838, and his brother Jacob Whitmer and brother-in-law Hiram Page then became inactive.

Investigating Mormonism?

“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11

We’ve updated our article, ‘Investigating Mormonism’ and thought it’d make a great witnessing tool for those who will be visiting friends/relatives over the summer months.

You can find lots of basic beliefs about Mormonism to ask your loved ones for their opinion on these classic LDS doctrines.

As an FYI,, you can find it at the top of our homepage on the right hand side…

For anyone thinking about joining Mormonism, we highly encourage a healthy investigation into their basic beliefs, as well as the history of the Church.

We thought we’d list a few of the beliefs to aid in your studies, so here we go!

We pray everyone will be as those in Thessalonica, and study to see if the things of Mormonism are what God has ordained!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle

I suppose this conference wasn’t much different than its predecessors, however, it seems their words go further to confuse than in years past. The blatant lies they tell are a shock to the sensibilities of those who know the true Jesus.

The three talks we’ve listed here earned themselves a spot in our series, ‘Worst of the Worst’, just as the last three. Two of them are courtesy of their apostle Dallin Oaks who seemed to go out of his way to deceive.

The Best of Lowell L. Bennion, Selected Writings 1928-1988: p. 79; “Christ was as humane and man-centered as any humanist in his concern for persons, but he also loved God and shared with him his love for man. And so my loyalty to persons includes man, every man, I hope, but also Deity—the Father and the Son. They too are persons. I don’t know that they need my direct adoration and affection, but it is my simple faith that they suffer when men suffer and rejoice when men have cause to rejoice. So in a modest way, but with all my heart, I would diminish their suffering and enhance their joy.”
