The priesthood has the power to unlock the influence of our habits, even to unchain from addiction, however tight the grip. It can heal over the scars of past mistakes.” — Boyd K. Packer (more…)

Discourses of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 112-113 “… who can describe an angel of light? If Satan should appear as one in glory, who can tell his color, his signs, his appearance, his glory—or what is the manner of his manifestation?
Who can drag into daylight and develop the hidden mysteries of the false spirits that so frequently are made manifest among the Latter-day Saints?
We answer that no man can do this without the Priesthood…A man must have the discerning of spirits before he can drag into daylight this hellish influence and unfold it unto the world in all its soul-destroying, diabolical, and horrid colors; for nothing is a greater injury to the children of men than to be under the influence of a false spirit when they think they have the Spirit of God. History of the Church 4:571–581.” (more…)

April 9 – Hebrews 5:4; Ex. 28:1; 40:13-6; “And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. And take unto thee Aaron they brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons. And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats: And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations. Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.”

April 2 – Hebrews 5:4-10; “And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, THOU ART MY SON, TO DAY HAVE I BEGOTTEN THEE. As he saith also in another place, THOU ART A PRIEST FOR EVER AFTER THE ORDER OF MELCHISEDEC. Who in the day of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Called of God an high priest AFTER THE ORDER OF MELCHISEDEC.”

Answers to Gospel Questions 1:169; “If Abraham, Joseph, and Moses had married Negro wives their descendants would have been denied the priesthood according to the word of the Lord to Abraham. (Abraham 1:21-27.) Had such a thing happened the Lord would not have called Israel as a chosen people, neither would he have chosen the Prophet Joseph Smith and given him the keys of authority for the Dispensation of the Fulness of Times, as he was a descendant of Joseph and of Abraham.” – Joseph Fielding Smith

The Godless Mormon Heaven Requires Priesthood Keys
Posted in Mormon priesthood, tagged Apostle Gary Stevenson, false christ, priesthood, Where are the Keys? on 08/12/2017| 10 Comments »
On August 8, 2017, the LDS website featured a 3 minute video on their front page called, ‘Where are the Keys?’. As an FYI, the main target audience is directed at the youth of the Church.
As you might imagine, the video is also filled with the usual mantra one would expect from the Church, but what struck me is the claim their apostle Gary Stevenson made towards the end of their video. You can find it at 2.04 minutes in.
After explaining that we can’t get into heaven without their priesthood keys, Mr. Stevenson pointed out another unbiblical doctrine about their god.
