April 7 — Mormon Lies About the Holy Spirit. There are many ways in which God’s Holy Spirit works inside of us. One of those ways is the fruits of the Holy Spirit – Galatians 5:22-23. Another is the way in how He works inside of us on a daily basis, moment by moment, guiding us along in life. John 16:13; “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” (more…)

LDS Lies Taught to Female Youth Groups II – Virtue

Today we’re comparing the teachings in the Young Women Manual to what God says in His word! Although the Church rewrote their manuals, they’re still holding tight to their past behavior of not telling the truth.
One of the eight lesson topics in this book (Virtue) is so bad it needs to be exposed for the lie it is. Besides integrating temple endowment vocab into their manual, they also included the ungodly belief God’s greatest power is sex.
Each topic in their manual has specific assignments/projects to complete that can be worked through at the member’s own discretion, and in the order they choose.
The manual’s overview stated that projects/lessons are designed to help prepare them for their future lives as temple worthy married women, with families of their own. It also teaches them how to ‘return and report’ to their leaders of any progress they’ve made. Not only did it remind us of the Scouting Program, the same vocabulary used in their temple endowment ceremonies.
No doubt you noticed it said nothing on how to study the Bible, or learning more about Jesus…
Now for the topic at hand! Here’s what they had to say about the importance of Virtue – (more…)

Plagiarisms and Disappearing Mormon Holy Ghost

Being in the throes of the Christmas season we can sometimes forget to slow down, and remember the reason why we’re so busy.
I was reminded of how chaotic things used to be and had to praise the Lord for what He’s done.
My life has done a 180° turnaround from the days of Mormonism. Gone are the years of wondering if I’ve been good enough for God to be with me.
Today I can pause knowing with 100% certainty, God’s Holy Spirit is there to comfort, and speak to me 24/7 because He lives inside of me. As a Mormon this wasn’t a reality, and it never entered my thoughts because I was always too busy with worries that beset me.
This dichotomy is overwhelming. It’s also what the Lord keeps reminding me of this week, so today and tomorrow we’re looking at Joseph Smith’s interpretation of the Holy Spirit. You’ll notice how they refer to God’s gift as ‘it’, or simply as the ‘Holy Ghost’, causing a great disconnect for the Mormon.
Mormon Doctrine, 681 “The Holy Ghost is a personage of Spirit, he constitutes the third person in the Trinity, the godhead. The gift or presentation of the Holy Ghost is the authoritative act of conferring him upon man.
The Holy Ghost in person may visit men, and will visit those who are worthy, and bear witness to their spirit of God and Christ, but may not tarry with them. * (more…)
HERESIES STILL PLAGUE NEW BUT INIMPROVED LDS MANUAL

Today we’re looking at the introduction of the new LDS teaching manual; ‘Come Follow Me’. As you’ll see the only real change they made was putting a shiny new bow on the same false gospel they deliver.
In essence, the Church has re-gifted their ungodliness to the people who trusts them with their very souls.
Come Follow Me for Individuals and Families New Testament 2019 “Conversion is Our Goal — The aim of all gospel learning and teaching is to deepen our conversion and help us become more like Jesus Christ. For this reason, when we study the gospel, we’re not just looking for new information; we want to become a “new creature” (see 2 Corinthians 5:17). This means relying on Christ to change our hearts, our views, our actions, and our very natures.” (more…)

Luke 1:34-35 “Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”
The excerpt below comes from the quarterly magazine, Dialogue, A Journal of Mormon Thought. Their articles reflect a side of Mormonism faithful members of the Church typically don’t read because it’s not ‘faith promoting’, and/or they simply don’t know about them.
I’m using the essay of David John Buerger for two reasons.
1.It’s a good example of how the Church retro-engineers their published articles.
2.It shows how the Church refuses to publish all sermons of their leaders, and holds onto them in their ‘archives collection’. Today’s example is case in point. (more…)

I encourage those who are serious about knowing true Utah Mormonism to read their entire speech, and show the Mormon with demonstrative evidence, why God highly disagrees with all of it.
General Conference, ‘The Holy Ghost,’ April 1974, 90 “Jesus referred to the Holy Ghost as a male person. Speaking to his disciples, he said:
“… It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” (John 16:7. Italics added.) …

GOSPEL TEACHING AND LEARNING: A HANDBOOK FOR TEACHERS AND LEADERS IN SEMINARIES AND INSTITUTES OF RELIGION PREPARING TO TEACH
Today we have a question about an instruction listed in an LDS teaching manual.
We’re also praying diligently all Mormons will come to know they can find the truth by opening their bibles. By doing so, they’ll see how the Jesus of the Bible can’t be the Jesus of Mormonism, and that obviously goes for God’s Holy Spirit as well!

John 14:23 “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”
On January 19, 2017, an image on the front page of the LDS website caught my attention. For whatever reasons, they’ve been carrying not a few stories as of late, with a corresponding image that looks odd, for the lack of a better word.
The images seem like they’re trying to create an ethereal portrayal of Jesus, and/or God. This time around, it was Jesus.
The article that went along with the image above is our focus today. We’re pulled a few of the comments from Mr. Kim Clark’s General Conference speech to compare them with the Bible, and ask a question or two. Here we go!

Several days ago, the Church posted a video, ‘Mormon Message: Like a Broken Vessel’, where their apostle, Russell Ballard, spoke on the ‘epidemic’ of mental illness, and depression. The reason we’ve brought this up isn’t to delve into the discussion of what is, and isn’t sin, rather, it’s to point out the solution Mr. Ballard promised would work for this problem.
The 12 minute video is a compilation of several people sharing experiences they’ve had (including Mr. Ballard), and how the Church’s gospel offers the hope they were searching for to obtain peace. Mr. Ballard went so far as to say, “everything that was broken gets fixed. That’s the great promise of the gospel.”

LDS.org, Gospel Topics, ‘Holy Ghost’; “After a person is baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, one or more Melchizedek Priesthood holders lay their hands on the person’s head and, in a sacred priesthood ordinance, confirm him or her a member of the Church. As part of this ordinance, called confirmation, the person is given the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Journal of Discourses 6:96; “With regard to this particular point, I will say that you shall judge the matter and be my witnesses. Have we not learned enough with regard to the character of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, to at once believe, admit, and affirm that the Holy Ghost always has and always
will operate precisely according to the suggestion of the Father? Not a desire, act, wish, or thought does the Holy Ghost indulge in contrary to that which is dictated by the Father. We all sense this in a degree, because it has always been taught to us. It is taught in the Bible, in the revelations given through Joseph, and in the preaching by the Elders of Israel…
